Summary: The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was due to the lack of manual settings. My last 2 cameras were pentax (optio a10 & a40). Both of which had manual settings that I used frequently and were nice features esp. for p&s ultra-compact cameras. Sturdy & feels well-built. Photo quality is very good.
Pros: 5X Optical Zoom, 720p video, Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, Easy Setup, Easy to Keep Clean, Easy To Use, Great Picture Quality, Outputs video in mov, Strong Construction
Cons: Lack of Aperture Priority, Lack of Manual Focus, Lack of Shutter Priority
Summary: Pros: Auto scene mode. A good variety of scene selections. Wide angle lens. Takes very decent pictures indoors and out. 1080i HD video. (NOT true HD 1080p though, but better than 640x480 most other compact cameras have for sure!) Compact size, 2x as thick as an iPhone, but 3/4" shorter & 1/2" narrower! Cons: Can only take video up to a certain size at a time, no matter how big your memory card is. (eg.
Summary: I have been using this camera for two weeks, and I love every bit of it! The camera starts very fast. The moment you turn on the power switch, it is ready to roll. The wide angle lenses is perfect for many occasions such as self-portraits or group photos. The image is clear and the color is beautiful. The HD video is a plus!
Pros: Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, Easy Setup, Easy to Keep Clean, Easy To Use, Great Picture Quality, Strong Construction
Summary: Good overall camera for the price and feature set. Especially the zoom and size of the camera. Like the fact that it has hd video recording although the camera doesn't write well to slower cards.
Pros: Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, Easy To Use, Great Picture Quality
Summary: I bought this camera to replace a Megxon that I bought last year. The Megxon was 10 megapixal, but had no stablization and never did take good pictures, so when the charger quit I decided to just get another camera. I love this camera. It is small and balanced, so it is easy to hold and use. The pictures are just great! I got memory cards and all of the cords and a carrying case. The price was great and the shipping ws phenomenal.
Summary: I have purchased this camera to replace my Pentax Optio S5i (see my review). The smaller the camera, the more chance you will take it with you, and despite being an advanced amateur photographer, 97% of my family pix are taken with compact cameras. LIKES: This Panasonic is a real standout from the usual with its 25mm ultra-angle lens, lens-based vibration reduction, and its intelligent auto mode.
Summary: I am an advanced amateur with a Leica M8 as my high end camera. I bought this after reading all the reviews to replace my Pentax Optio S5i camera. This little camera has a great 25-125mm zoom with iA control. I am very glad with the quality of the files and the quality of the lens- even wide open in the corners. Any minor imperfections will NEVER been seen in printing pix up to 8x10. The LCD screen is bright and detailed.
Pros: Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, Easy To Use, Great Picture Quality, Strong Construction
