Summary: Bought this camera two years ago from Amazon as a present to my wife, for $230 at the time. It was discontinued then, it is still discontinued today. Having said that, it was one of the best cameras out there *for its size*. It is still a great camera today - my wife loves it. The large aperture (f2.8 at the widest angle) improves the performance in low light.
Summary: I need a new camera since my last one broke. I wanted a camera which take picture without delay when I pushed the button. This one is perfect, no delay the picture are quality crisp. It easy to use it, no need to read the owner's manuel, it's open and play. You don't need and extra battery since this one stay on for days and days. Very happy with it.
Summary: I purchased the Panasonic FX37 because I needed to get a good portable camera for a special vacation trip. It has been 6 months since, and I am still absolutely loving this camera. Not only is it very portable, it is very versatile as well: its 25mm wide angle lens is great for landscape and group photos, and its 5X zoom should be sufficient for most occasions. My favorite aspect though is how great the colors come out. They are absolutely stunning.
Summary: The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars was due to the lack of manual settings. My last 2 cameras were pentax (optio a10 & a40). Both of which had manual settings that I used frequently and were nice features esp. for p&s ultra-compact cameras. Sturdy & feels well-built. Photo quality is very good.
Pros: 5X Optical Zoom, 720p video, Bright LCD, Comfortable Controls, Easy Setup, Easy to Keep Clean, Easy To Use, Great Picture Quality, Outputs video in mov, Strong Construction
Cons: Lack of Aperture Priority, Lack of Manual Focus, Lack of Shutter Priority
An excellent DSC but useless for video recording (HD 720p)

Summary: The DMC-FX37 is an excellent DSC but its video capabilities are USELESS! Although it boasts the fact it supports 720p video but due to the non-existent compression and the 2GB file limit you can ONLY shoot a lil over 8mins in HD 720p no matter how much memory you installed which is utterly useless. So, if you only looking for a nice DSC this is a good choice but do NOT be fooled with the HD support.
Summary: Pros: Auto scene mode. A good variety of scene selections. Wide angle lens. Takes very decent pictures indoors and out. 1080i HD video. (NOT true HD 1080p though, but better than 640x480 most other compact cameras have for sure!) Compact size, 2x as thick as an iPhone, but 3/4" shorter & 1/2" narrower! Cons: Can only take video up to a certain size at a time, no matter how big your memory card is. (eg.
Summary: Easy to use. Takes nice photos. Does HD video very well, but I have nothing to compare. I thought the battery life was reasonable. Took it on a trip and would recharge each night. My son would often review the photos for what I thought was a long time relative to using a camera for just taking photos and the battery life did go down a bit, but the camera was still usable before the day ended. Flash is just what it is for a compact camera. Nothing special.
