  • Conclusion: In the space of a few short years Panasonic has come from nowhere to become one of the key players in the digital camera market. And it has done so not by clever marketing or particularly aggressive pricing, but by taking risks, by going off on tangents and - crucially - by identifying gaps in the market and filling them with well-designed products that - more often than not - deliver on both image quality (where the tie-in with Leica lenses has paid off handsomely) and...
  • Pros: High resolution, clean images, Excellent color - vivid but natural, High quality construction, lovely design, Highly versatile 28-102mm zoom range - smallest 28mm camera in the world, Reliable white balance with fine tuning, Feels fast and responsive, High speed focus near class-leading performance, Big, bright, high resolution screen, Decent movie mode with 848 x 480 pixel 30fps widescreen option, Reliable exposure and focus, Image stabilization works well, Good batt...
  • Cons: Very noisy at ISO 200-400 in low light, Noise reduction a bit strong at lower ISO settings for our liking - especially in low light, Results a little soft at F5.6 and over, No manual control of shutter speed or aperture, Occasional exposure problems and blown highlights when shooting in very bright light, Flash not very powerful, though fine for normal social shots, Easy to accidentally press buttons you don't mean to if you shoot single-handed, ISO 800 / 1600 mode ne...

Camera Review: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01

Pop Photo
17 July 2007
  • Excerpt: Panasonic's new Lumix DMC-FX01 digital camera efficiently squeezes a 6MP resolution, a 3.6x optical zoom, and an MEGA Optical Image Stabilizer feature all into a very lightweight and extremely compact body. The DMC-FX01 doesn't disappoint, offering numerous upgrades on older FX models, and then some.

Panasonic DMC FX01

  • Conclusion: I have never found so many points I like about any digital camera as I have with the Panasonic DMC FX01. Full marks must go to Panasonic for adding so many useful and helpful features. Further good news is that the picture quality of the camera is of a very high standard and the camera is also exceptionally easy to use.
  • Pros: Wide angle lens, Image stabilisation, Aspect ratios, Widescreen movies, Clear LCD screen in the sun, Vivid colours, Sharp images, Build quality, Ease of use
  • Cons: Red eye, High ISO levels, Small capacity memory card supplied

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01

PhotographyBLOG

  • Summary: The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01 is one of a handful of compact digital cameras to offer a 28mm wide-angle lens, which provides an entirely new angle of view when compared with conventinal zoom lenses that typically start at around 35mm. 7mm may not sound like much, but it actually makes a big difference, albeit at the expense of noticeable image distortion. The FX01 is a stylish, well made and ultra-compact camera that you can carry with you wherever you go.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01

PhotoReview
1 June 2006
  • Summary: Some good still and video features in a pocketable body but the FX01 lacks key manual controls and an optical viewfinder. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01 is almost identical to the Leica C-Lux 1. Aside from coming in a silver body, which is similar in size and weight to previous FX models, the most obvious difference between the cameras is the finger rest on the front panel of the FX-01.

Panasonic Lumix FX01 - stabilizovaný kolibřík v praxi

  • Excerpt: Říká se, že na velikosti nezáleží. To dokazuje, alespoň co se týče kvality, Panasonic Lumix FX01. V poměrně malém kompaktním těle se ukrývá snímač s rozlišením 6 MPix, širokoúhlý objektiv s optickou stabilizací a 3,6x optickým zoomem, české menu a velký 2,5“ displej. Příjemná kombinace šikovných funkcí zabalená v designově zajímavém těle. Jak fotoaparát dopadl v redakčním testu?

Exkluzív: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01

  • Summary: A liszaboni bemutató másik újdonsága a Travel Zoom mellett a DMC-FX8 és DMC-FX9 utódjának szánt DMC-FX01 volt.

Pixinfo
3 May 2008
  • Summary: Egy mindent rejtő női retikülben, a púderes doboz és a rúzs társaságában abszolút megfér a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX01. A nálunk járt, fehér elő-, és hátlapos példányt, mintha egy neves kozmetikai cég jószemű dizájnere kreálta volna. Ráadásul a míves külcsín, nagyszerű belbeccsel is párosul.
