Great functions, but heavy and not always picking the correct automatic setting

Summary: Good camera with all the functionality we like, especially the Wi-Fi. The drawbacks are the weight and zoom buttons that cannot be operated easily with one hand. Also, it's not always picking the correct setting.
Excerpt: This review doesn't cover the Lumix FT5's photo quality (which is of course very important and I think, from a first impression point of view, is very good). Its design for rough situations (waterproof, shock resistant etc.) is convincing and seems well done. This is not covered here either.
camera is as I asked for but a little disappointed that when I opened box

Summary: This was bought as a Christmas present, camera is as I asked for but a little disappointed that when I opened box, to examine, you can clearly see that the case is also Orange, well it's not, it's Black [ I bought a bright orange floating strap to go with it as well!!
Summary: I bought this rather than the Olympus TG-3, which I was also considering, as it's a bit cheaper and the images posted in reviews seemed slightly better to me, e.g. colours less saturated, in particular the video quality.
Summary: Yes, they go underwater and sometimes they leak. Frankly, the seals are not very obvious and there is no way of silicon greasing them like on a proper waterproof enclosure. It is not surprising that some people have had problems. It seems a bit of a lottery to me whether it leaks or not.
Summary: I had read that the image may be slightly less than other compacts but wanted one to use on the beach or in a bar where spilt drinks wouldn't ruin it. Dark rooms come out very bright and the photos all have a red cast as though everybody has been in the sun too long.
Summary: Good camera. But few things I wasn't happy with. You can hear a whirring noise on playback of videos. Not sure if this was just my model? Also, I didn't find the picture quality that great. I took photos on a golf course on a grey day, and the pictures looked very washed out and milky. Anyway.
