Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT4

PhotographyBLOG
30 January 2013
  • Summary: Though there is quite a lot going on here for your average snapshot camera - including GPS, Full HD video, HDMI output and 3D snapping - there is much that is familiar from the largely identical FT3.

  • Excerpt: The FT4 isn't the cheapest rugged compact you'll find, but it does boast the best stills quality of its contemporaries. Metering is excellent, colours are vibrant yet accurate, noise is low and sharpness is very good for a compact.

  • Conclusion: The FT4 is a great option for the adventurous, with a great design and plenty of rugged protection. It’s not the best camera for underwater shooting thanks to its small buttons, but for other rugged uses, it’s a solid performer.
