Summary: There are only two things I don't like...no lens cover (gets smudges and pocket lint) and no viewfinder with option to turn off the back screen, which is bright at night. Other than that, this camera has been to combat in Iraq, travelled to Europe, swam in two oceans, canoe camping, mountain hiking.
Summary: This is absolutely the best camera I have ever bought. It takes great pictures. It takes great video. The special effect presets are awesome and work with video, which few point and shoots do. It is as rugged as it is made out to be and then some. It survived a white water canoeing accident.

Summary: Like everyone else, I was looking for a rugged camera to take underwater/beach or on that ski trip where I would not worry about the camera. I did my research and like many have said it came down to the Panasonic and Canon and I chose the Panasonic because it was more portable and also because I...
