Don't buy if you plan on using it for a long time, and too expensive for a single use camera.

Summary: Amazing camera. Took it to Honduras Guatemala New York the Carolinas the beach. Everywhere. It is still working and I have taken well over 10000 photos and 100hrs of video and it is still going. Best camera I ever owned. I use it daily to take pics of the growing patterns of my Bonsai!
I was sent the wrong camera, but like the wrong one better now. And these cameras are pretty great, too.

Summary: OK... I'm giving this 3-stars ONLY because of the fact that this was NOT the product I had originally bought. Apparently, if they are out of the product you pay for, they simply send you the next step up instead.
Summary: Picture quality at higher optical zooms is simpy awful and the color balance is consistently too bluish. However it is tough as nails and battery life is superb. Have used now for several seasons of sailing, including some offshore races, where I just left it out in the cockpit for all to use, and...
Summary: No need for proprietary wiring. Use a USB/Micro USB and call it a day, Panasonic. For this reason, I will only look at electronics with 'easy to use/find' connection wiring. I refuse to buy another connecting wire, and therefore refuse to buy Panasonic again.
