Excerpt: I bought this camera to use around my welding studio and out on the road hitting garage sales etc. Over the last three years I have taken well over ten thousand photos with it. It seriously still looks like new and have never had a case for it. I often carry it in my back pocket when I am out and about town garage sailing for the day. Plus it is always kicking around on my welding bench are area exposed to lots of fine metal dust heat etc.
Summary: Picture quality is excellent. Taken it to many snorkeling and beach/pool trips. The underwater photos are great. Don't forget to white balance even underwater. Don't forget to rinse after the beach or pool. I think that because I didn't, there is a very tough water drop stain on the lens window. I've tried everything to clean it off and it won't come off. The video quality is great too. I dropped it down to 4 stars because of the annoying and ugly rubber covering.
Summary: This is absolutely the best camera I have ever bought. It takes great pictures. It takes great video. The special effect presets are awesome and work with video, which few point and shoots do. It is as rugged as it is made out to be and then some. It survived a white water canoeing accident. It made it through dust storms in a high sierra desert (Burning Man). It bounced off a hard wood floor from a 10' drop. I can not be more happy with it.
Excerpt: The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS2 is awesome. It is waterproof, shockproof, and freezeproof. I bought this camera as a christmas gift and the very first day I put this camera into a fish tank. There was no leak in the case. I took the picture and the quality is very good. This camera is 15.1 megapixel. The picture quality with regular pictures are amazing. If you are looking into a waterproof camera you should get this camera.
Great Panasonic digital waterproof & impact resistant camera!

Excerpt: Santa brough us a great DMC-TS2 Panasonic Lumix camera last year, which we took on vacation with us to the beach. We were a bit nervous about getting it wet, even though it is a waterproof camera, but while we were taking pictures at the shoreline, I dropped it right into the ocean. DUH! Well, it turns out that the camera really is waterproof! How bout that? The camera emerged completely unharmed, and worked perfectly.
Excerpt: We were looking for a camera that not only took great pictures, but also HD video as well. After reviewing many cameras, we decided on this Panasonic model. We were a little leary about buying it as we personally didn't know a lot about Panasonic cameras, and it wasn't one of the brands that everyone talks a lot about. After realizing it had all the features we were looking for (and more) we took the plunge and ordered it.
Summary: I purchased this camera knowing it was Panasonic brand. All my home electronics are made by Panasonic because I am very happy with it. After 14 months of purchasing this camera, for no reason at all it has stopped working. I thought it was the battery and at the airport I purchased a new battery that cost me $35.00 dollars. The camera still not working and I just wasted the money buying the new battery. It ruins my vacations for not having any pictures souviners.
Great Camera. But no support from Panasonic or Amazon

Summary: I bought this back late 2010 and took it with me on a trip to Costa Rica. Had it in the pool, beach and even zip lining over the rain forest! Beautiful photos and videos. Like other have said. Water spots can be an issue. But that is true of any water proof camera. I use to have a Cannon in a water proof case. And I'd get water spots all the time. Less than a year later. It died. I emailed Panasonic a few times and never got a response back.
Excerpt: Let's be real most of the people who think about buying the product are thinking this because they want a camera thet they can use under water and for the budget at the same time. Think hinders of times again. Theres a big issue with this camera and I don't think it can be fixed and I m afraid if the other brands has it! It starts good when you first get the camera and start to take photos until you first get in to the water!
Summary: This camera is awesome! Have had it for a year this Christmas. Has been down to 20feet while snorkeling and had no problems with fogging or water leakage! My wife breaks everything and has yet to break this thing! Been to Jamaica, Grand Turk, and Nassau and is still going strong! Would give more stars if possible!
