Summary: When I went on a study trip to Germany and my camera was destroyed by airport baggage handlers, the first thing I did upon arriving was seek out a new one. I was just looking for a hold-me-over until I could afford another high-end camera, but after finding this one in a tiny tech shop in the town of Prien, I haven't even considered it. This camera is amazing.
Summary: I love my first Lumix, the FZ10, so the comparison is against that. I bought the FS7 for my wife to use, and when I need something 'pocket-size.' The FS7 takes great pictures in auto mode. The image stabilization is better than I expected. I haven't experimented much in other modes, cause I have so much more comfort with larger size of the older camera (I have limited use of one hand).
Summary: I only used it for a month...one battery recharge..then i got the error code for zoom. I took out the battery and put it in another lumix dmc-FS7 and got the same error code. then i charged the battery. the charge light went off right away and neither camera will turn on. I like the camera..
Summary: large screen, long zoom range, menus well designed with typical choices easily available, and of course sharp pictures. Great for traveling. Hi-end camera phones still have lousy zooms and few exposure choices. If this Lumix could evolve into a smart phone -- wow !
Summary: This is a very good camera, and the price was unbeatable. I was so happy to order this, and even happier to receive it. It was delivered in good time, condition was as said "good as new" and it is by far,1 of the best cameras, especially for the price...thanks so much for a great job..
Summary: I wanted a camera that i could take with me everywhere. I have a NIKON D90 with all the attachments and use that on professional shoots - and where i can get the best shots - but having the LUMIX allows me to ALWAYS to get the good shot - I searched and researched, read all the reviews and decided that this would be the best camera for portability, good battery life and excellent picture quality. This camera proves to be the best.
Summary: I bought the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS7 in January. Having used it for almost a year, I can say it's been great. It takes very nice pictures, I love the optical stabilization, and the Intelligent Auto feature is handy. Only having a 4x optical zoom is a bit of a downside, but overall I can't complain about anything else. I love the small size (smaller than my wallet), light weight, and sturdy metal construction. The menu is easy to navigate, the buttons are simple to use.
Summary: i've had this camera for a year or two and just think it's terrific. too many features to talk about my favorites are the 16x9 shooting and the Film Grain mode. i've been a photographer for 40years , a TV news phographer for 30 years, now retiredand B&W is still my favorite. i just love all the coarse grain in this mode, I have 2 Nikon DSLRs and many Nikon film cameras, but when I go out for a walk or a ride on my scooter this is what I take. the color is fantastic also.
Summary: I did my research on compact cameras and decided that I would buy this camera for my wife. We just came back from vacation using this camera. It performed wonderfully! I really liked how quick the camera was ready to shoot once the power was turned on. Also, the shutter lag did not affect the picture taking processs. I highly recommend this camera for anyone who wants an ultra compact!
Excellent - I Will Compare it to my Older Panasonic Lumix TZ-4

Summary: I purchased this camera after selling my fairly new but discontinued Panasonic Lumix TZ4 ($235 from the Egg). It was 8mp and 10x optical. I love Panasonic cameras and the TZ4 was the best compact camera on the market at the time. I'm planning a backpacking trip to Scotland in October so after weighing in all my options I decided the TZ4 was just too bulky and heavy to keep in my coat pocket.
