Untitled Document The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS7 offers a sensor resolution of 10.1 effective megapixels from a 1/2.5" RGB CCD image sensor, and Panasonic has coupled this to an image stabilized, Leica DC Vario-Elmar branded 4x optical zoom lens with a 33mm-equivalent wide angle. There's sadly no optical viewfinder, with the Panasonic FS7 instead opting solely for a 2.7" LCD display with 230,000 dot resolution on which images and videos are both framed and reviewed. Read more
With a retail price of just $159.95, this could prove to be a solid value for users who want the least possible fuss and bother when it comes to taking pictures, thanks to the sophisticated Intelligent Auto mode. While there are a few controls you can tweak, the FS7 is really geared to auto mode, or one of the many scene modes the camera provides. Read more
The FS7 is an elegant compact that is easy to use and which delivers decent photos. We regret however that Panasonic seems to focus more on the number of pixels (10 MP) than on the picture quality (image noise, white balance...) Read more
Continuing on with the line of fancy styling, the FS7 (Fancy Styling?) is a slinky silver number boasting a 10.1Mp resolution on a 1/2.5in sensor and a 2.7in LCD screen on a small body. Read more
In a crowded market, the DMC-FS7 certainly stands out when it comes to looks and build quality, but in terms of features and performance, it’s pretty much par for the course. But it is very easy to use and many digital snappers will welcome this no-hassle camera. It’s also got some rather handy scene modes. Performance while good, is not exactly jaw-dropping, but we think few casual snappers will be disappointed. Read more
Image quality is excellent for a budget camera, with lovely colour, accurate exposure, very good sharpness and low image noise at high ISO settings. It's a very good buy at the price. Read more

Panasonic has a well-earned reputation for making very good but very expensive high-performance compacts, but with the FS7 it has proven that it can bring the same level of quality to the mid-price market. It offers superb build quality, stylish and ergonomic design, ease of use and acceptably quick performance, combined with excellent image quality. Read more
Panasonic's LUMIX DMC-FS7 is a compact digital camera that's simple to use, and it takes excellent photos. It has a minimal set of controls, it's small enough to slide into a side pocket, and it's well suited to taking photos at parties and other casual outings. The LUMIX DMC-FS7 is one of three different 10-megapixel cameras in Panasonic's compact range (the others being the LUMIX DMC-FS62-R and LUMIX DMC-FS42-K). Read more
I love this camera. The picture quality is much better than my old canon. It's pretty durable because it fell once from waist height onto a tiles floor and still works (this is what broke my canon). The color is beautiful. The intelligent image feature is great, especially there is a button to quickly change out of it. I really can't complain. Read more
I recently went on a cruse to the Bahamas and wanted a complete upgrade from my old Canon A530. I did thorough research on cameras that did great in low light, action shots, and close ups without the bulk of a SLR for vacation. Like most people I directly went to well known brands (ie Canon, Sony) but was incredibly skeptical of the so-so reviews for the prices I saw. Read more
This is a great camera, even at 10 MP. The Leica lens really performs. I have been searching for an inexpensive camera that took clear pictures that were not fuzzy or out of focus. Finally, I found the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS7A that takes clear, focused pictures even on Auto. So glad that I bought this camera! Read more or see product

I'm going to get slated for this review - I can just feel it; so let me start by saying I am no expert, I rarely take any photos and this is my first foray into the world of digital cameras. For me this Lumix just isn't intuitive enough. I find if fiddly and awkward to use and the menus hard to navigate - I guess I could overcome this by spending more time with the camera, but that's just not me. Read more

I own the Lumix DMC-FS7 camera and have the problem that in a series of photos with the same settings, some photos are at the set resolution (in general the highest) and then at random some are at 848x480 pixels. This happens at both iA and standard mode while none of the settings have been altered. Anyone has this experience too? And what to do about it?!
