Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS45
4 January 2013
Summary: Years ago, when Panasonic stepped into the digital camera market, their cameras were cutting edge and the retro design was unbelievably sexy. Since then they've lost the retro feel and gone for something more up to date. Not a big deal as the camera still looks good.
Excerpt: The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS45 was announced in January 2012 and features a bright f/2.5 lens which has previously only been features on Panasonic's higher spec cameras. It is available in black, gold, silver, red and violet for £109.95.
Pros: Bright f/2.5 lens, Compact metal body, Can shoot a 7fps, albeit at 3 megapixels, Images have good colour reproduction, Decent noise performance up to and including ISO 800, Battery lasted longer than expected
Cons: More expensive than most cameras with a similar spec, Panoramas don't have enough detail to view in large format, Purple fringing quite common
Conclusion: If your are looking for a no fuss pocket sized digital camera that can take a decent snapshot then the Panasonic Lumix DMC FS45 is a good choice. When it comes to picture quality it is able to match or better its main rivals.
Cons: Starkes Bildrauschen, Nur 720p-Video, Schlichtes Gehäuse
