Summary: This Panasonic works wonderfully! Lightweight and small, this is great for travel plus easy to use. The pictures look really good and it is first-rate for the price. I admit it, I really don't read instructions much when I first get an item. Which often results in mini disasters since I am so lazy. But in this case working with the camera was so intuitive that I still haven't read the instructions on working the camera. The only problem for me was getting the battery in.
Summary: I've had three of the Lumix digital cameras, upgrading each time. Each of the them have been as brilliant as everyone says, except for one thing. They have all, after about a year, developed dark splodges on the image. On busy subjects it's not so noticeable but on a plain background like the sky it is very noticeable. It's just stared with my latest and sadly i am going to have to look for another make. Any one else had this problem?
Summary: Bought the camera a month ago and after giving it a fair trial, am re-selling it at a considerable loss and with great disappointment. The pictures are simply not sharp enough, and the colour is poor. Pictures taken in bright daylight are poorly balanced, and colours are not sufficiently bright. There are very many settings on this camera - for food, for pets, for skin tones etc - and with one or two exceptions I could not find one of them that made any difference.
Summary: For anyone buying it and thinking of taking it to a music festival or rave: I wanted to review this mainly for its "HD" video capabilities as I was rather disappointed. Whilst the quality of the video is undeniably very good, the audio is pretty terrible, and is defiantly not HD. As someone said earlier this camera uses a rather inefficient way of taking and storing its video (motion jpeg) so the video is larger than it would be using other methods (you are looking at...
