Excellent camera.

Traveling Watercolor Painter, J&R
19 April 2010
  • Summary: At [$], it was a great value. I bought it for the quick focus, and short lag time, and burst capability. Only the auto focus, has failed to impress me. When set on the Auto Intelligent mode it misses the focus one or two times out of ten. Everything else about the camera has impressed me, and will be a perfect travel companion. It's a small size that will be nice to take to family events, too.
  • Pros: Accurate Color, Good pic quality, Short Lag Time

Good easy camera

2 April 2010
  • Summary: A good, easy camera to use. I thought the menu options were a little overwhelming at times simply because there are so many but overall, the quality of the screen was nice, the zoom was excellent and once I got the hang of all the options that were offered, I really liked this camera.
  • Pros: Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Nice Body Color

Great Pocket Camera!

Setski, J&R

  • Summary: This is a great camera! Got it for Valentine's Day and used it all weekend! Except for lacking an optical viewfinder it is better that the Canon Powershot SD1200 it replaced (dropped it, and it never worked quite right after that).
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Nice Body Color, Short Lag Time, Small / Compact
  • Cons: No Viewfinder

Great camera marred by lack of a lens co

munisco, J&R
27 January 2010
  • Summary: This is, in general a great camera. I recently went on vacation and I found it took great pictures outdoors and indoors. Low light did not bother it. Face recognition was OK but not as good as the canon sd1200. Only drawback, and for this I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars, it lacked a lens cover. The lens was constantly getting smeared. It had to be constantly cleaned. Some people would also miss an optical viewfinder.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Good in Low Light, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Nice Body Color, Short Lag Time, Small / Compact
  • Cons: No Viewfinder

Great, but not ready for prime time

Savvymaxi, J&R
20 January 2010
  • Summary: I bought this for a backup pocket unit to my Nikon D-90 and my Lumix FZ28. It's very good in outdoor daylight shots, and close-in flash indoors. Where it falls down is low light, like virtually all subcompacts. The good news is that the shutter delay is minimal compared to other subcompacts I own -- Canon, Nikon, and Fuji. The only other caution is the lack of an ergonomically friendly shape, making something this small hard to hold steadily and firmly.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Quality, Good Image Stabilization, Large Clear LCD, Short Lag Time, Small / Compact
  • Cons: No Viewfinder

I do like this camera

Insta shooter, J&R
14 January 2010
  • Summary: I really like the camera. No external lens for me to break. The zoom is awesome for an internal lens too. I did find that I liked the way the buttons were mapped on my 06' Lumix dmc-fx8 compared to the way the buttons are mapped on this camera. I feel I spend too much time in the menus. However, the zoom is great the picture quality is fairly good. Keep in mind I'm just an amateur who likes to point and shoot without much effort.
  • Pros: Easy To Use, Good Image Quality, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Short Lag Time
