Summary: Found NIB old stock, Went with Black for $90 with free shipping. This is my 3rd one "I damaged 2nd one" June 2014 - dropped it 4 feet to the cement. I was not using safety strap :0( - Worked still, however autofocus and flash is OOC. See my reviews below: February 8, 2014, Recommended!!!!
Summary: I have owned this for 2-3 years. It still works like a charm. Two features really impressed me in addition to the quality of the pictures 1: it can take close up shot, like a macro lens. 2: the quality of the video. A great camera for everyone especially for teenagers or senior folks. Highly recommended!

Summary: See my original review bellow: This is my second one of this model, "I broke" my first one in 2011, I was skiing and made the mistake putting in an outside not insulated pocket and the lens motor got frozen=when i turned it on; the screw interface bracket broke. = it was cheaper to buy new; then fix. Have had this second camera for 2 - 3 years, it still works great. its an all around good camera, Macro is awesome.
Summary: I have had this camera for 3 years and it has been just great. The battery/sd card door broke after about 18 months and I just tape it on and it works fine. I owned two Canon point and shoot cameras before this Lumix unit and they both failed me within 2 years. The lens failed to come out on them and they quit working completely. POS! I work in dusty Wyoming and carry and use this camera often. The photos this Lumix takes are very good and the videos are good enough.
my favorite walking in place i can get robbed camera ever

Summary: so i bought this together with a lumix lx5. of course it is not a competitor in the quality of the photos of this other amazing camera but is a great camera for packed streets and other dubious places. it survived me for 2 years so far and around 15000 photos. mine is completely scratched but it is still working. the lcd screen dont do justice to the photos. when i see them in a computer they are always better than in the screen.
Summary: I got this as a gift for my birthday after buying one for our daughter. I liked hers so much I asked for one for myself. I like the front panel that slides down and that is what turns the camera on. It takes great pictures - each to use - zooms great and has a BIG screen on the back for viewing pics. Love it.
Summary: I first bought this camera a while ago as a gift for a work associate. His computer skills and photo knowledge was about zero but did he ever shoot great video and super nice photos! This outperformed a similar class Nikon digital camera that my wife had been using. She tried this one and was amazed at the 1. Ease of use to get great photos'. 2. Excellent testimonial by the gifted camera recipient. 3. Compact "self storing" lens, (i.e.
Summary: I had issues with two previous cameras (Sony CyberShot and Nikon CoolPix) The lenses that came out got broken and bent and the camera became obsolete! A drop shouldn't kill the lens. So this camera is great! There is no lens that out, but the camera is great. I have taken wonderful sunset photos among others! I highly recommend it!
