Simple to use, takes good photos but beware of the RED color choice

Summary: I'm a long-time fan of Panasonic cameras, my first being a TZ4 from 2008. The FH-8 is one of the simplest cameras I've ever come across, including brands other than Panasonic. The screen is bright and easy to see, the photos are sharp and true-to-color, and the menus are so easy to navigate, I bet...
Summary: I have not used the camera a lot yet but have down loaded the manual so that I can look at what I need to when I need it! We are going on a trip to the southwest this winter and I am hoping for good luck with the Lumix. I Hope to use the panorama feature at the Grand Canyon!
Summary: I always like to carry a small camera around with me and this camera is almost perfect. I carry this camera in my pocket, but do put in in a case. Since I'm a gardener I don't want to get it dirty.
Summary: I really like the fact that it actually explains what the diff. functions do. It gets a little tricky when you aren't used to the camera and push the wrong buttons. The manual on line is 128 pages long. Has a lot it can do but also can be set on Auto and be very easy to use. Love the size.
Summary: Most pictues I take are not complicated, they are taken to remember that point in time, this camera does that and more. One of the special effects I do use is the panaramic feature. It allows me to capture a scene that a simple focus shot can not do.
Summary: We needed a simple point and shoot camera, and this camera met all of our needs. We used it as a backup for our cruise to Alaska, and we were not disappointed with the cameras performance. It took great pictures, and the few videos that we took with it were actually of quite good quality.
Summary: I wish it had a written manual. One that I could take with me to refer to when learning all of the features and just basic usage. The manual is downloaded into your computer. Not too handy for new users.
Summary: I purchased this camera after reading about it in Shop Smart (Consumer Reports) magazine. So far, it has worked quite well. I couldn't figure out how to shoot the "Supermoon" the other night, but perhaps I could do so if I did additional research.
