Summary: After reading so many positive reviews, I chose this camera for my wife. I regularly use an Olympus E-300 DSLR, but my wife wanted something small, compact and point-and-shoot. This camera meets those expectations; the size is great and it weighs nothing. I thought the wide angle feature would be great for capturing life in action with three kids, but the images are grainy and blurred.
Summary: Bought this as a Christmas present. Was unpleasantly surprised when setting it up to find out that the only included instructions were written in Spanish. Usually, the included manual is written in two versions: one in English and the other in a different language. All you have to do is flip it over and go with the language you want. Well, in this case, the entire instructions booklet was Spanish only.
Summary: This camera is such a disappointment to me after reading the reviews praising it. The pictures are heavily pixilated. Everyone who has seen my pictures both downloaded on my computer and on Shutterfly mention their poor quality compared to those I took with my old Canon and my old Olympus cameras. I wanted to try Panasonic for a change and I am so sorry that I did.
Summary: I picked up one of these cameras for my wife to use. I owned a Panasonic Lumix camera in years past and was quite happy with it. This camera is easy to use, even with all the features in it. But the lens quality really isn't very good. Just because you get a lot of pixels doesn't mean you get a good photo. It all starts with the lens and what we got in our camera really isn't very good.
