Summary: This is the second Lumix FH6 that I have purchased. I wanted to get it while I could still purchase this model...and this was at a good price. I am still using the first one after 2 years (and it has been through a lot)....and although I don't use all the bells and whistles...it has produced some amazing photos for me, so I am not quite ready to go to a higher level of camera just yet. I love the scenic shots I've gotten..
Summary: I haven't had it long enough to know whether I'll love it as much as the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 that I bought in 2010. I wanted something much smaller, that would fit in my purse. I think this camera will work nicely for when I can't carry a bigger camera.
Summary: Crisp wonderful pictures, lots of options and scene modes. Crisp movies too! I wanted something inexpensive enough that I could take it sailing and other rough outdoor activities, and not be horrified if I lost it or damaged it, but still take great pictures. I had tried the Polariod digital camera in the same price point ($80) and it was horrible. I knew from that experience I had to have a fine lens (Wow - Leica!
Summary: Camera seems to be fine. However, arrived with a European charger cord. After contact with Amazon I was advised to buy a US cord, which I did, and was given a substantial adjustment in the cost of the camera. Also, the camera operating instruction booklet could be improved.
Summary: In general, it carries the good features of Panasonic Lumix product series. However, the picture resolution of 14.1M is fixed so that a user can NOT adjust it to a different/lower resolution like any other digital camera. It can potentially chew up the SD card and make it difficult to email due to the size of image file. Be aware of it.
