Beware the dreaded System Error (Zoom)

Summary: Purchased this camera for my daughter's birthday last July -- it had received a lot of 4 plus star reviews and was selling for the supposedly bargain price of $149.99. Less than six months later it's suffering from routine System Error (Zoom) messages, which the camera puts out when you turn it on,...
Summary: Well, so far I am disappointed with this camera. From all indications, this is not a new camera. The picture quality is far inferior to my old Kodak. Pictures are blurry, don't turn out at all when using zoom, and eyes always come out red or shiny white.
Summary: I'm a big fan of panasonic. I was amazed at how lightweight the camera was. The color was exactly as advertised. Start up time is very fast and the shots are fantastic with lots of easy to use features for the novice and professional alike.
Summary: Nice camera, bought it for my mom. It is very easy to use just take pictures. The quality of the pictures are great, and we like that the battery can be charged separately. It also holds the charge well. All in all it is a good camera.
Good basic camera but the screen broke in less than a year of light use

Summary: I bought this camera based on the very good reviews here and on consumer reports. It takes good pictures and does a decent job of lessening blurry pictures due to camera shake. I wish it had a soft flash option. Sometimes the flash is too bright and it's too dark without it.
Summary: I've had Panasonic Lumix's before. I love their line. When I lost my previous Panasonic Lumix, I was devastated until I realized that I could get a newer version. I searched through many different brands and lines. I kept coming back to this brand.
Summary: I bought this camera before my study abroad in Europe and I think my most-uttered phrase after five months has been, "I love this camera". Seriously, it's fantastic- the pictures are AMAZING quality, especially on the "Intelligent Auto" mode.
Summary: This camera was recommended to by a couple of co-workers who have it and I must say they didn't stear me wrong. Small enough to tuck in pocket for where ever you go. Batteries are pricey and when going on vacation don't forget to take your battery charger with you.
Summary: I purchased this camera last year. I paid a little over a hundred bucks and I have the following to say about it: The interface is very intuitive. You can vary the number of megapixels on the camera. The pictures are crisp- very sharp.
Summary: This camera is easy to use and takes good pictures except in low light there is red eye. It is suppose to have a setting to reduce that. The old Kodak that died on me completely stopped redeye. Also, the button for snapping the picture should have been where the enlarger button is.
