Summary: Very nice camera, all features are great, you can read positive reviews all around the web, just keep in mind that this is the japanese version of DMC-3D1: - menu descriptions are in japanese only, anyway you can find the english (and other languages) manual, and menu navigation is pretty simple - you can't select NTSC/PAL output as described in the manual, I think it is NTSC only, so if you link your camera to tv it could behave the way you don't expect, I haven't tried...
Summary: Great little camera. 3d photos are fun. Just remember this is the "Japan" model so very few icons in English, however you can pull up the English manual online. Excellent product for the price. TIP: Learn the Japanese icons for throwing away one picture only vs. all of them on the card. I learned the hard way but luckily just had a few of my initial practice shots on card. ALSO YOU WILL NEED AN HDMI TO MINI HDMI CABLE TO HOOK UP CAMERA TO MOST 3D TV'S.
Summary: This is very good camera. You can take 2D or 3D photos, and videos as well. My specimen has only japanese menus ( I do not understand japan language), but I find the camera still easy to use. The stereo images are easy to handle using free software available from internet.
Summary: Most probably a very excellent camera (I already own and use an old Lumix compact camera, nearly perfect). But … even though I bought it from an american company, Amazon.com, it was not customized for the american market; I mean the user's manual (which was english and Pdf) speaks about the language set icon, which would allow the choice of the language on the camera display, but as the camera is meant for the japanese market, the display is japanese, and I was unable to...
Japanese only, message "Restart" without apparent cause.
7 February 2014
Summary: Hello! First I liked this camera and decided to buy it. When the parcel arived I found out that it is completely in Japanese and there were no option to switch the language into English. Besides this, the message "restart the camera" permanently apeared without apparent cause. So I sant this camera back to the seller unfortunatelly. Waiting for money back.
Summary: As a photographer/videographer for many years, I can easily see the quality difference between this camera and Fujifilm's W3 3D camera. I've owned the W3 3D camera for over three years, but recently I must have either mishandled it, maybe a slight drop to the floor or a bump. The right lens is out of sync and cannot be fixed w/o a costly (more $ than a new one) repair. So, even though others here have given the Panny 3D camera mixed reviews, I took a chance.
