Excerpt: Panasonic Lumix DMC-SZ5 I have had this product for just about a week now, and having paid less than a hundred dollars for it at Staples Business Depot, I am very impressed with the amount of features this camera has for such a cheap price. Pictures are crisp and clear, and the video is very impressive; the quality is excellent and the sound is out of this world; clear, picking up the sound of birds singing and even subtle sounds can be heard.
Summary: I have a not quite 2 yr old Lumix DMC-SZ5 with a Panasonic lens. I loved it UNTIL I developed spots on my photos, which apparently are from dust inside . Researching, I found Panasonic seems to have a problem with this but they will do nothing for me. I can have it cleaned here for $75-$100 but I think I'll just get a new camera. Maybe go back to Canon. If I get it cleaned they tell me I would need to wipe it every time I zoom in/out or it'll happen again. Ridiculous!
Summary: It's a nice small pocket camera which is what I was looking for. Takes pretty good pictures. As for some people's complaints that it doesn't have any filter features, that doesn't matter to me. I've got really good editing software on my computer. One of the main reasons I bought this was the built in wi-if. I will agree with some people that it was a pain to connect. I've hooked up wi-if in my house & friends houses.
Cute camera takes great pics, when it works properly

Summary: This camera is the perfect size and had really great reviews on consumer reports so I bought one off ebay. An open box model. Unfortunately this particular camera has issues. The lens will not retract back into the camera and continuously displays the same message on the screen 'turn the camera off and then back on again'. Nothing seems to fix it. I also spent much time trying to get the wifi hook up to my printer, laptop, phone, etc. I was never successful.
Summary: This is a real nice camera for the price, but the wifi, which is the reason I got it, was kind of a pain to set up. There is a button for a wifi "wizard," which should make things easier, but it didn't. That's because, at least for the average buyer, there's not enough information in the box to guide you through some of the things you need to know or have questions on.
Summary: Nice little pocket camera that you can take anywhere. Better than a phone camera. But put it in your pocket and eventually dust will migrate to the sensor - all your shots will have fuzzy black dots on them
