Panasonic Lumix FZ60 / FZ62

Camera Labs
1 August 2012
  • Summary: The Panasonic Lumix FZ60 / FZ62 is one of two new super-zooms announced by the company in July 2012 and a more affordable version of the premium Lumix FZ200. It shares the more expensive model's 24x zoom range and body, as well as many of its features, but the gap between these two models is widening.
  • Pros: Great image quality at base ISO., Excellent high ISO noise performance., Programmable Fn buttons., New Creative control filters.
  • Cons: Narrower zoom range than rivals., Disappointing burst shooting., No RAW mode., Fixed non-articulated LCD screen.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ62 review

26 September 2012
  • Excerpt: The FZ62 is the successor to the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ48 , which was one of our favourite ultra-zoom cameras of 2011. We were particularly impressed that Panasonic had moved from 14 megapixels in the earlier FZ45 to 12 megapixels in the FZ48, as this delivered a significant drop in noise levels. This wisdom has sadly escaped Panasonic this time around.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ62

5 September 2012
  • Excerpt: The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ62 shares a lot in common in terms of its external design with its predecessor, the FZ48, so a lot of comments that we made about that camera apply equally to this new model. The FZ62 looks to all intents and purposes just like a DSLR camera, albeit one with a fixed lens and a built-in electronic viewfinder.

Test: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ62 (Digitalkamera)

CHIP Online
29 September 2012
