Summary: If you are a photographer of birds and they are small this is the camera for you. I would say no bridge type digital takes a better picture. In my opinion any zoom over 24x is too difficult to hold still without a tripod and I am on the move while bird hunting The battery life is exceptional.
Summary: This little camera can stand up to some pretty big canons and nikons too for that matter! The lens is at a 1.8 which allows for you to get some sharp images. The easy settings let you change your styles and effects like a pro without any of the meter measuring, saving you time when shooting.
Summary: This camera is easy to use right out of the box. I took this up to some remote parts of British Columbia and took a variety of close up to far away magnified pictures and they all came out beautifully.
Summary: I have been using point and shoot cameras since my Nikon film camera became obsolete about 10 years ago. I have been considering the purchase of a digital SLR ever since. A friend recommended the Panasonic DMC line of cameras. I have been using this DMC FZ-47 for about a month.
Summary: I left on a trip shortly after purchasing this camera, and didn't have time to actually learn how to use it properly. So I left it on automatic most of the time, and the "intelligent auto" did the work for me. I am very happy with the photos and the camera.
Excerpt: Build quality. 9/10 Ease of use. 10/10 Image quality. 9.5/10 Camera snob appeal. 0/10 Just look at real peoples reviews on Amazon. Really a very, very good piece of electronic equipment. I really like this camera. Problems: None
Summary: Purchased for my teenage daughter. This is the model before the FZ60 came out which added HDR, CMOS sensor, faster continuous shooting, other s/w features. Decided to get this one when the price went down. We where looking for a super-zoom camera that was lightweight and takes great pictures.
Summary: It took me almost one week to figure out which brand of camera is the best in terms of reasonable price (for those in a limited budget like me), easy operation, high quality taken-photos and recorded-videos, long life battery, powered by Lithium battery or AA ones, zoom, etc.
