Summary: I have had this camera for 2 years and 10 months and it is still working well and with the original battery. This was the first time I spent serious money on a digital camera and I think it was well worth it.
Summary: This was a present for my wife. She wanted a camera she could carry around easily and this fits the bill. She has only taken a few pictures so far but she is very pleased with the results. They are very crisp and the colours are true.
Summary: My wife and I are DSLR people. We take our big, chunky DSLRs with us whenever we go out on holiday and so forth. Sadly when we moved to DSLRs from the goold old Canon G3 that we used to have, we lost the ability to record videos.
Summary: Based on the camera spec and the brands reputation I was anticipating excellent results. I was greatly disappointed. I already have a full size Canon Digital SLR which I love taking photos with, but decided to get a quality pocket camera for the family to use & take on holidays.
Summary: Took a couple of sample pictures when I received the camera and couldn't believe how grainy they were; the zoom was also very poor. As I comparison I did exactly the same with a Nikon coolpix P300 and the difference was dramatic. Sent it straight back and ordered a P300!
Summary: After reading many reviews I bought this camera for a trip to Australia for my brothers wedding. Having just down loaded the images I wish I hadn't. In day light and good lighting conditions the camera performs well in most settings and is versatile.
Summary: The Panasonic Lumix FX700 14.1MP Digital Camera ROCKS! I am a professional photographer but like to carry a pocket camera with me at all times. This is the best pocket camera I have ever owned. Well worth the extra money and the new touch screen is easy, intuitive and 'smart'.
Summary: This is an excellent camera providing "full HD" video together with 14mp still photographs. With it's touch screen menus it is easy to use. My wife is not confident with cameras but has taken some superb photographs with this camera.
Summary: I bought this camera with a view to replacing my trusty Canon Powershot G9 which has been the main source of my 1.3 million YouTube hits and counting. Once you started recording video on the G9 the focus and zoom were set in stone, aspect ratio was 4x3 and sound mono.
