Bullshit, bad disclosure of a huge defect that seller was aware of
2 March 2014
Summary: Bullshit! The danged camera language is Chinese, which means although I bought the camera because I loved it, and broke my last one, I CANNOT USE THIS ONE!!!!! And it cannot be translated! This was communicated in bottom line disclosure, it should have been in the main mention. I am disgusted, and have not shopped Ebay since, though I've done a LOT of business with EBay for years! I LOVE THIS CAMERA! One of the best in it's class, size, wideangle and quality...
Summary: I have had this camera for 2 years and 10 months and it is still working well and with the original battery. This was the first time I spent serious money on a digital camera and I think it was well worth it. I have changed compact cameras every year or so due to the change and improvement in camera technology and you would think that after 3 years this camera would be obsolete, but it is far from the case. This camera can still hold its own against latest models.
Summary: Took a couple of sample pictures when I received the camera and couldn't believe how grainy they were; the zoom was also very poor. As I comparison I did exactly the same with a Nikon coolpix P300 and the difference was dramatic. Sent it straight back and ordered a P300!
Summary: Based on the camera spec and the brands reputation I was anticipating excellent results. I was greatly disappointed. I already have a full size Canon Digital SLR which I love taking photos with, but decided to get a quality pocket camera for the family to use & take on holidays. But from the start, the camera managed to pixelate, blur or over-smooth every photo I took! All to differing degrees & whichever location I was in.
Summary: This was a present for my wife. She wanted a camera she could carry around easily and this fits the bill. She has only taken a few pictures so far but she is very pleased with the results. They are very crisp and the colours are true.
Summary: After reading many reviews I bought this camera for a trip to Australia for my brothers wedding. Having just down loaded the images I wish I hadn't. In day light and good lighting conditions the camera performs well in most settings and is versatile. But virtually all shots taken in low light or at night using the Ai function are totally unusable.
Summary: The Panasonic Lumix FX700 14.1MP Digital Camera ROCKS! I am a professional photographer but like to carry a pocket camera with me at all times. This is the best pocket camera I have ever owned. Well worth the extra money and the new touch screen is easy, intuitive and 'smart'. Its not for a professional, anyone can benefit from the quality and ease of use. I am so pleased and singing praises!
Summary: This is a very good camera - very easy to use, excellent touch screen facility and superb video recording function. Also, at the current price you will struggle to get a more powerful camera. Only drawback is the 5x zoom facility - there are similar sized and priced cameras that will give 10x or even 12x zoom. So it will depend whether this is a priority for you or not. One BIG word of warning however - do not be suckered into Amazon's bundle package for this camera.
Summary: This is an excellent camera providing "full HD" video together with 14mp still photographs. With it's touch screen menus it is easy to use. My wife is not confident with cameras but has taken some superb photographs with this camera. It is a pity that the camera is not supplied with an SD card a case and a HDMI cable for linking to the television. I would recommend this camera as good value for money.
