Still waiting for a chapstick sized cam that has a USB tether to cam
6 May 2013
Summary: Overall it does the job. I thought it would be a bit smaller but it works well considering the size of screen to playback. It will adjust to the direct sun just takes a second or 3. I like that it has two settings for sound so you can lower loud noise situations.
Summary: This model is still reasonably priced and fixed the major issues of the previous versions (accidental card removal, trashing the data and often the card) and not seeing the viewing area. The one big outstyanding issue is the small amount of internal memory.
Summary: I bought this to replace my ATC 2K that wore out after 4 years of use (rubber deterioration and some mechanism breakage). This model is obviously an improvement based on lessons learned from the ATC 2K. The menu options on the 5 are easier to manipulate because of the video screen.
Summary: Took this camera to war... Did OK but some of the plastic parts took a beating from the ruthless and relentless sun, then the horrible winters in the mountains and it broke down a little. But a little rigging here and there and it was fine every time I needed it.
Summary: I bought this camera to use while paragliding. I haven't had the opportunity to use it that way yet, but have had time to fiddle with it and see what it can do. It is very well designed. It's compact, rugged and very durable.
Summary: I am a police officer and I use this camera when interviewing people. I was initially disappointed with the sound quality, but found the video and capacity with the 2gig card excellent. The problem with the sound is the waterproofing.
Summary: I recently purchased this camera after reading some of the reviews here. But after I received the unit and tried it in my car, it works beautifully. I like the size of it, the wide angle which allows me to cover the whole highway and side walk without having to move it around. Great.
