Summary: I bought this camera (OLYMPUS VR 350) some months ago (for only 90usd), unfortunately i was silly enough to return it and get a nikon (s2600) instead (which is terrible by the way)... now I am getting this camera AGAIN. I am gonna start by the negative points(the reasons i returned it): N1- It doesnt support really high contrast scenarios: I was using it in NYC so I got frustrated I could take "great" pictures of Times Square, and the billboards looked too fair in the...
Summary: First of all list price has been lowered to $99 for this camera. That puts it in the same price range as 5x zoom cameras so this is a great value. I really dislike other cameras that look like fancy change purses. The Vr350 has the nice look of a traditional rangefinder. As soon as I turned it on I was really struck by how wide the lens could go. Generally I found the picture quality about average for a camera in this price range. Longer zooms are a compromise.
Summary: This was a present for my brother. He is delighted with every aspect of the Olympus VR-350 digital compact camera. He looks forward to using the camera to record his adventures when he goes travelling to Asia next month!
Summary: A wonderful compact camera. 10 times zoom, light weight, fits in the pocket. A camera with a lot of special effects to play with: soft focus, punk, enhanced colour, about 10 effects that I can't recall. easy to operate and set-up. You charge the battery in the camera so unlike my previous compact you don't have to reset the date and time every time you charge the battery. So inexpensive a real bargain.
Summary: Have only had this for a few days but so far it exceeds my expectations. The 10x zoom is terrific, as is picture quality. As well, the controls and menus are very easy to use. I also like the video playback feature. All in all, I heartily recommend this if you want a compact camera that delivers great quality at a price that is much less than that of most comparable cameras.
