Summary: I purchased this camera as a gift. It has been in use for about 7 months and no longer works. It was not dropped or abused in any way. I don't think this is a sufficient lifespan for a camera!
Summary: I wanted a small handheld camera that I could use for pictures and digital video. After a lot of research I decided to get this one. The camera took great pictures but I wanted a 10x zoom for video and you can't zoom while using the video feature which is why I bought this camera.
Summary: My third Olympus, it arrived with a software "hiccup", but has worked well since that first day. If I can keep from dropping my Olympus cameras into the lake, this one may go on for a very long time! Editing: Oops...This VR-340 has acquired another software "hiccup".
Summary: I ordered this camera for our work place. We use it to tale photos of our patients ( if allowed ). After 1 week of use, the lens became loose, crooked and would not close. We were not easy on this camera, but it was not overly abused either.
