Summary: Fabulous little camera. Takes great photos, really clear. Far better than other little cameras in this price range that my family members have bought. Thoroughly recommend. In fact, I am replacing mine that was dropped with the lens out. Figure it's not worth getting repaired.
Conclusion: The VR-310 is a compact 10x zoom optical camera. It has the capability of taking pictures which are perfectly acceptable when considering its price range. If you are on a budget and would like a point and shoot with more zoom than you normally find on a camera at this price then you can't go wrong...
Pros: Extremely cheap for 10x optical zoom Focus distance of just 1cm allows for great macro images Good range of Scene Modes and Magic Filters
Cons: Noise levels even at lowest ISO No optical zoom with sound on videos
Summary: THIS WAS BOUGHT FOR ME AS A XMAS PRESENT AND I WAS REALLY DISAPPOINTED. AT FIRST I THOUGHT IT WAS ME THAT HAD THE PROBLEM AS I COULDNT GET A GOOD PHOTO BUT AFTER TRYING ALL SETTINGS AND VARIOUS PEOPLE TRYING I REALISED IT WASNT JUST ME.
Summary: I am not a camera buff and need an "any fool can" camera. I had an Olympus FE-340 which I loved but which sadly died on me! The only camera that I could find that was similar but claimed to be better was this one - Olympus VR-310. I am so disappointed with it.
Summary: This camera is very well made and you can feel the build quality when you handle it. In this price range its an excellent buy the only issue i have is that when using the flash it is very easy to partially cover the flash with your fingers this is the only weak point i can find.
