Summary: The shooting quality is amazing. But, the first time I used it in underwater ( shallow mind you) water leaked inside. The camara was therefore RUINED after just 2 weeks. Oh, and there's no warranty. Still, if you take care of it, the buy is worth it. I wish I could replace it. Ha!
Summary: It was great until it wasn't. My husband carries this camera for work. He has carried the Tough cameras for many years and when he needed a new one, we went with the TG-3. He buys them specifically because he takes his cameras into dirty environments where they can get knocked around, even wet.
Summary: Every dad needs a tough, waterproof camera. This won't replace your DSLR but it's just as good as a regular point-and-shoot. Plus, you can give it to your four-year-old and his friends in the pool and not worry one second. Pair it with the floating camera strap to make retrieving it easier.
Summary: This camera is a good average in picture quality in comparison to other compact cameras and for waterproof compact cameras even above average. So there would be no bigger description of pros and cons until it comes to accessories.
Summary: I did my research and bought one of these a few months before my trip to Antarctica. I used it a lot and noted the picture quality is great (to me). It turns on and snaps a photo in about one second. It always click a picture as soon as you snap.
Summary: This is a great camera. I bought it because I spend a lot of time outdoors and/or in the water. Took it on a trip to Southeast Asia and it performed very well and in some cases the shots I got rivaled those from my Canon SLR. The WiFi connect feature works really well.
Summary: a bit clunky. photo quality only ok. operation not terribly intuitive. I was an Olympus OM champion/apologist for years but this is not up to old-school Olympus quality. wanted to like it as an Oly legacy guy (and for how much I paid for it), but just couldn't.
