Summary: It worked fine for two months, then one day I went to turn it on and it would not power on with a fully charged battery. I thought maybe the battery was defective so I purchased another battery with a wall charger. Still would not power on. I called Olympus and they said it was covered under warranty. I sent everything in, including my receipt which proved when it was purchased.
Summary: Length:: 0:05 Mins I only had the camera for 3 months and my 9 year old dropped it from 3' to the floor. The silver piece around the lens is PLASTIC and cracked, then fell off. It's not chrome or metal. Now that I really am looking at the whole camera after that happen... it has a lot of plastic parts on it. Right on the camera states Tough, Shockproof to 7ft, and Waterproof. Are they kidding me!!!! This camera is no way Tough and Shockproof.
Summary: I took a chance after reading the reviews and seeing multiple comments about a clicking sound while recording video. I tried it out right away and sure enough I had clicking in the playback. If you don't use video you may like the camera.
Summary: The photos are not good because the lens are too small. You need much light for a good photo. No good definition in the photo. Much noise. The camera is very very heavy for a compact camera. If you use under the water. Some of water is introduced inside the camera. Only with 1 ft of water. And after that, the lens fogs, and you cant keep taking photos. Bad bad. The panoramic function are a s*** in this camera. The LCD screen are too dark.
Summary: I must say I have owned on of these before. It worked well till it took on water. I decided it could be user error and purchased a newer version. I have used ( not even myself ) to charge and verify it worked. It has not since, and it has been registered. Amazon determined it was not returnable, but it was purchased as a Christmas gift. Purchased on Sept. 27, and dead before Christmas eve. The manufacturer stated they would sent a new battery which they haven't.
Summary: My unit only worked for two days of shooting. On the second day the battery died after about 15 minutes of shooting. When plugging it in, it will no longer show that it's charging or report the status of the battery. I'm assuming this unit is defective, and it will be going back to Amazon ASAP. I will not be buying another copy. I'm not willing to risk my money on another Olympus product after this failure.
