Excerpt: I was very impressed with this camera when I bought it 5 months ago, and I took 1500 pictures with it before I took it snorkeling. On the first day I took it no more than 3 feet under water and only pressed the ON/Off button and the shutter button and all was OK. On the second day I tried to change the camera setting about three feet under water to enable the underwater mode and the flask. That is when TG320 froze up and the LCD went dark. Salt water leak!
Summary: I purchased this camera for our Hawaii vacation where we planned on snorkeling. Pros: The underwater pictures were very good. Camera was easy to use. Lightweight. Cons: It leaked. When I opened it up, the battery had rust marks. The front lens showed moisture. the viewer in rear also showed moisture. As a result, I returned the camera.
Summary: I have gone through several of the mid-range Olympus cameras in the last 5 years. I don't want an expensive camera to worry about. The Olympus is a good brand for me and I like the software. My main problem was having the lens not extend or withdraw. I think I solved the problem with this one! And I didn't have to learn a new camera, since it was the same back and software.
Summary: Length:: 1:06 Mins First I did not buy this camera from amazon, but I bought this directly from olympus (they had this camera bundled with a pair of olympus binoculars for under $100). It is now July 2013 and there are newer, fancier versions of the olympus tough cameras, but for me this camera has all the features I was looking for. Nice pictures (above and below water) and decent video.
