Summary: I bought this camera over a year ago and we use it 5 nights a week to take before and after photos at our job sites where it is greasy and wet. I download the photos every week and charge the battery for the next week. I have not bought a new battery yet. It gets abused in the rough job environment but it still works and the pictures look great. FYI - I also bought two TG-320 models and one still works and one doesn't but it lasted almost a year.
Summary: Incredibly rugged and water proof. It must have dropped out of my winter jacket pocket while I was kayaking, ( bailing water out of the rowboat), and by the time I realized it was gone it must have floated away ( it was in a black foam pouch/ case). A search of the rocks at low tide showed nothing; the direction of the wind and tide suggested it ended up in deep reeds and marsh across the harbor and I gave it up as lost.
Summary: I've had this camera a little over two years. It was inexpensive, so I probably got my money's worth out of it. But having it die on the first day of vacation in a remote area last month was a really big problem. I've maintained the rubber seal per the manual, although the design does require it be opened to charge or download pictures - which seems like too much regular wear for a camera that needs to be waterproof.
Summary: This camera takes good pictures, especially for the price, but the images could be better quality. Using the camera underwater sometimes produces slightly foggy looking pictures, but I have noticed this with most waterproof cameras. Overall, I'd recommend this camera based on the price and the quality, given its low price compared to other cameras.
Summary: For the price, this is a GREAT camera. I bought one about 6 years ago & it finally crapped out...not because of poor quality, which is why I purchased another. I use it scuba diving all the time & am very pleased with it!
Summary: I bought this to take with my on a cruise. It did perfectly through pools and ocean. Not only did it last for the cruise, but years later it remains water tight, and it's been on several houseboat trips, including being thrown off the side of the boat. BUT! It doesn't float, and I would highly recommend buying a float attachment for it. I bought a yellow Chums waterproof camera float and it works perfectly!
