Summary: The best thing about this camera is its underwater function. The sad thing is that it's temperamental. After the last few weeks of struggling to get this camera to work consistently, it's finally defunct.
Make sure the seals are replaced every year or it will leak....

Summary: If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I purchased this camera on March 8, 2014 based on good reviews. It was rarely used, but I wanted an underwater camera for the few times I would go snorkeling. Between March 22-March 29, we were on a trip where we when snorkeling every day. A guess what?
Do not believe the high reviews of this junk camera

Summary: I did, I succumbed to the online reviews stating this was the best way to go with a compact underwater camera. My boyfriend, who is a professional photographer, told me I would regret buying it. He was so opposed to me buying an Olympus he threatened to leave me if I bought it (joking of course).
Died after one use and Beach camera would not take it back!

Summary: I bought this camera as a xmas gift. we used it once and it stopped working. After tryign to charge it via the wall charger that was sent with it and by plugging the cord into the back of my computer, the camera simply would not turn on.
Summary: Died on first use in the ocean during my honeymoon (Fortunately, I had the foresight to bring multiple camera but only one waterproof one). As far as I can tell, the water leaked in through the mode dial.
Summary: I bought this camera back in March when it first came out. I was looking for a durable underwater camera. Since March I have used it a handful of times and I am not impressed. I understand that when you choose an underwater camera you lose some quality.
Summary: I have been shooting with a Nikon AW100 for the last 2 years. Recently the AW100 was damaged and went in for repair. In the meantime I wanted to try something else. I picked up the TG-2 in time for a fishing trip to michigan.
Summary: The "Tough" little Olympus TG-2 iHS is pretty to look at, but it sits dead in front of me. Amazon's Pavillion Electronics sent a charger cable with a European style 3-pronged plug, instead of a standard 2-pronged plug. I live in Oregon, so someone at Pavillion goofed.
Summary: 30 minutes into a family beach trip at Destin, Fl the camera stopped working. It will not do anything and it has not gone underwater. We are just outside our amazon return window so we are stuck contacting olympus. regardless of warranty service we will have no pictures from this trip.
