Summary: Good camera, but don't expect anything from the video - horrible ticking noise.
Pros: Takes good photos
Cons: The video is wacked - horrible ticking noise! I thought I could adjust is out - not! Olympus says it's normal for the camera. It is the auto focus adjusting. Just stupid - the video is not useable at all. Olympus will not take it back.
Summary: I purchased this camera with the anticipation that it would replace my former Olympus rugged camera. It is definitely much more bulky and cumbersome. The displays are not user friendly and the options are poorly designed into this beast of a camera. REASON for 1 STAR: Quality of photos and movies.
Exceptional for stills, but video has major problematic ticking sound

Summary: So wanted to keep this camera. As of 2012, it appears to be the only waterproof camera with a bright lens that takes photos instantly. But the video is a terrible problem. It introduces a consistent and problematic ticking sound at the beginning of every video you take.
Summary: The first of these arrived DOA. I had Amazon send a replacement (yeah Amazon) and the second one worked for about 3 weeks before it went the same way - no response regardless of what you did. It appears to be a great camera but - twice in a row...I went to the Panasonic Lumix.
Summary: The very first time I used this lens it broke - water got in between the lens and the camera, pictures ruined. Not tough at all! Poorly made cheap plastic where it connects to the camera, do not buy this!!
Summary: I purchased two of these cameras for work use. 1 failed after one week as it refused to focus. The second failed after two months as it would not take pictures. I did not get chance to test the durability of the camera as they were supposed to be for field trips.
Summary: I would have expect (at least) a hand-adjustable lens, instead, this one is a fix magnification multiplier which is great if you know you will always shoot something far away but almost useless in any other case, this is an action camera right, you are not suppose to change lens all the time or even...
Summary: I've had many digital cameras in my time, and they've all fallen down rock faces, been dropped in the park, fallen down the stairs, etc. As yet none of these have stopped working, nor have they had bits break off, just the odd scratch and dent.
