Excerpt: An entry level point and shoot digital camera for beginners that has a 12 megapixel and 3x optical zoom. It also has different selectable picture mode that the owner can play with when taking pictures. The AF tracking can track moving subjects and continuously adjust. It has a smart automatic mode that can easily recognize the setting of your surroundings. Powered by a lithium-Ion battery and it comes in four colors, blue, silver, black and red. I have the red one.
Summary: I got this thing on clearance for $20 and I still paid too much for it. I got it for the kids and thought it would be light and simple and Olympus is a good brand usually. It's very lightweight and has a cheap toy plastic feel to it. This camera is a bit difficult for the kids to work and hit the right button. Almost all the pictures were unusable. The pictures are more like bad cell phone quality and are out of focus most of the time. The videos are terrible.
Summary: We received this as a gift for our children and even they aren't satisfied with it. The camera is light, that is about it. It is quite difficult to push the button since it is small, rectangular and recessed into the body. Strange design idea when most cameras offer a round button that may even be slightly raised. My children use their finger nail to push the button which results in sloppy pictures. The next biggest problem is the battery.
Summary: I almost didn't buy this camera because of the reviews, but because of the price and service I've gotten from Amazon, I went for it! Glad I did. Its a nice small camera and has been trouble free, works great, takes good pictures, ect. Much beter than the 5 year old Kodak I droped and replaced with this.I'm Happy!
Summary: I have purchased several Olympus digital cameras in the past. I am very pleased with the performance and features. Although the 12mp picture quality is available, I seldom use that level of quality. It is very difficult to send very large video files over the internet. The video recording feature is certainly functional, not the best in low lighting but fine in general use. The zoom is smooth and gets the job done. For under $100 I am very please with this camera.
Summary: I ordered this for my nine year old son, thinking it was a good deal. It is a bad camera. He especially likes to take videos and you cannot play back your videos with sound. It is not listed in the description that there is no sound in playback mode. And the face detection seems to detect everything but a face. Pretty much all the description is deceptive. It is bad quality, bad pictures, bad video, too much light, not enough light...
