Olympus SZ-30MR

The Olympus SZ-30MR is a digital camera that features 24x wide optical zoom (25-600mm equivalent), and supports 1080p Full HD movie recording and 16 Megapixel still photos. Users can shoot in high resolution using the various combination of recording modes then share their shots in the format of their choice. Designed in a slim form factor, the Olympus SZ-30MR is ideal for travel. It is powered by a backlit CMOS sensor for capturing pictures in low light, 3D photo shooting and Eye-Fi card compatibility.

Features

The Olympus SZ-30MR supports simultaneous 1080p Full HD movie recording and 16 Megapixel still capture, via its Multi Recording function. It is powered by Dual Engine TruePic III+ image processors that let users record two different movies at once: one in wide-angle and close-up; Full HD and lower resolution; or an original and filtered version via one of the camera’s seven Magic Filters for movies. It also features Photo with Movie Clip setting that lets users capture moving footage before and after taking a single photo, giving users flexibility of sharing their shots in a variety of media – from full-size prints to video clips for their favorite social media website. It is also Eye-Fi compatible, allowing users to upload photos automatically to the Web without cables. Other features on the Olympus SZ-30MR include 3D still photo shooting, eight Magic Filters (Fish-Eye, Pin Hole, Pop Art, Punk, Drawing, Soft Focus, and the new Sparkle and Watercolor filter); Pet Detection mode that automatically snaps dog or cat faces just as they look up; Smart Panorama that lets users pan the camera from side to side to get a sweeping panorama picture; Advanced Face Detection technology which searches for faces in a composition and recognizes them as the main subject, then automatically puts them in focus and adjusts exposure to create an optimized image; AF Tracking which track moving subjects automatically and keeps it continually in focus; Beauty Mode which touches up the appearance of subjects even while the shot is being taken; Dual Image Stabilization which combines high ISO values with a sensor-based mechanical image stabilizer, and a built-in gyro sensor that detects camera movement and adjusts the sensor accordingly; and i-Auto Mode which detects commonly shot scenes and automatically chooses the correct settings.
