Summary: I just returned from a short trip. The camera provided terrific pictures of both distant and close objects. Family pictures turned out great. I have several more expensive cameras, but this is the one to take on a trip to use for multiple purposes.
Excerpt: I would love to see a equivalent of this camera, BY Olympus, with the same features but with a BIGGER sensor. Yes, the price will have to be 6x to 8x more BUT I would buy it.
Pros: This is the 2nd one we have had in 4 months -- but only because wife managed to lose the first one. She just LOVES this Olympus and the pictures it takes. Very vivid, very sharp, realistic images with that amazing zoom. iA mode really works like magic. She can take good, unblurred pictures with t...
Cons: The very small sensor used in this camera bothers me -- but not the wife. The picture quality is good but I worry that the sensor size will at some point come out to bite you. You can't violate the laws of physics. Small sensors, in the end, have image quality issues -- ALBEIT only IF you want to...
Summary: This camera has similar features that other point and shoot cameras have. What makes it special for me are three things: fast focus, perfect size that can fit most pockets (I even take it with me when I ride my bike), and the sweet 24x optical zoom.
Summary: Man, I love this camera. I'm still learning all it can do, but the pictures I've taken so far are wonderful...crisp and clear, even when using the zoom. Great deal, too. If you're thinking about getting it, don't hesitate.
Summary: Nice camera. Purchased for the telephoto range and the panaramic feature. So far I am very pleased with the pictures. Did not use the case that came with it. Wanted several compartments and a strap. Good buy for all the features! I like the small size. Easy to handle.
