On a user-friendly scale the Olympus Tough-6000 ranks just as well as other more popular brands. Basically, if you just want a camera that you can literally take anywhere then this is the one for you. Also, it is not that ugly for party use either. It is slim enough, comes in snazzy and funky colours and fits well into the pocket and handbag. It may come across as slightly heavier than what we may be accustomed to in a compact camera but when you weigh that with the... Read more
S ome rugged, freeze-proof and water-friendly cameras look like something you'd find at the beach or halfway up a vertical incline (Hello, Powershot D10 !), but for droppable cameras that look at home in a night club as much as in a kayak, Olympus is the leader of the pack. The Stylus Tough-6000 is a sleek, solid cam that you can take anywhere, safe in the knowledge that a drop on the dance floor or a spilled drink won't result in an expensive paperweight. Read more

The first camera ever to show up here is a little over a year old. That doesn’t mean the Stylus Tough 6000 has lost its ability to take pictures. It’s waterproof to 10 feet, shockproof to 5 feet, and can withstand temperatures of down to 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Since this is a pretty simple point-and-shoot I’ll just go over price, durability, and the pictures and videos it takes. Check out the review after the break where we see if this $300 camera is worth it. Read more
I've taken it sailing in Hawaii and dropped it once. It took pictures of shallow snorkeling very easily. The tap control is nice when wearing gloves or in the water. It does seem tough and water proof. Read more
This is my second Stylus and I was SUPER happy with my older Stylus, but this one leaves alot to be desired. If I had it to do all over again, I might re-purchase this camera, but I would definitly shop around more. Read more
Full resolution and the images are brutal. Not worthy of printing. Not worthy of a computer screen. Honestly, worse than my old 5 MP canon. Much worse. Actually, come to think of it, worse than my iPhone pictures. I am not exaggerating. If you think I jest, try one out on the store, take a picture, then view it on screen and zoom in. See the grains? Yeah, that's how they will look on your computer screen. It's not the camera's screen. And while it states it comes with an... Read more
I purchased this camera because my first Sony camera had water spill on it. My second sony camera, I dropped and the lens popped out. I thought i'd kill two birds with one stone and get a shockproof/waterproof camera. I also got it because I went to Hawaii and wanted a waterproof one. The underwater pictures were ok, nothing special and definitely not perfectly clear. I also think the quality of the picture is complete junk. It's ok to take pictures of my daughter, but... I bought this to use at work at emergency incident scenes, training, and while I am enjoying the outdoors. It has suited this purpose very well. On feature I like while at work or biking is the tap feature. This is nice when gloves are worn and is very intuitive. I plan to take it snorkeling, but believe me, it will be in a waterproof bag. I don’t put much faith in “waterproof” when it comes to $200 cameras. Read more
