Excerpt: I've been wanting a little super zoom to complement my large Nikon DSLR for travel. I thought this little camera would be the the one. Not! While it is a lovely little camera to look at, and the controls are easy to use and intuitive ... the images from this camera are IMHO completely unacceptable. Waaaaay too heavy handed noise reduction in the camera's software renders the images with a detail-less, plastic, waxy, painterly look when viewed at anything but small sized.
Pros: Easy to Use, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact, stylish
Excerpt: I like to have a small, portable take-everywhere compact to supplement my DSLR and high-end street camera. This serves the purpose well. I was sold on the amazingly sharp indoor action shots it gets as well as on the 600-mm zoom, and am having fun playing with the "Art" settings -- a form of instant in-camera processing.
Pros: Easy to Use, Good in Low Light, Great Zoom, Small / Compact
Don't be surprised by your cameras manufacturing demise

Summary: The 5 axis image stabilization ... Well ... I'm sure it's great ... Not that my camera came broken or anything... Every photo had a shade of pink on top of the fact the 5 axis mechanics we so poorly made you could see the inside of the zoom lens and no even what your facing. Came broken, I returned it... And spent my 400$ on another digital camera locally.
Summary: There are many others who are much more qualified to judge the picture quality of this camera so I will leave that to them (for the record it took great photos during my recent vacation). My only real complaint is that geotagging is hit or miss with my iPhone. Initially I couldn't get pictures geotagged because every single time I tried to use my iPhone (with the Olympus OI.Share app) it would reset the clock on the camera by setting it back one hour.
Excerpt: After five months of ownership, the SH-1 is my primary camera - because WB AUTO now presents the current rainy scenes in neutral colours, not blue. The SH-1 retains the 2 WB Custom settings I learnt to value on the SH-50. The SH-50 remains in service for demo videos, and recording sound for the (silent) SH-1 time lapse videos. The SH-1 and SH-50 complement each other as intended.
Excerpt: images are clear, even with extreme telephoto and extreme close upLight weight is nice Flash works well Set up for transferring images to iPhone was difficult. It would be nice to be able to emil images directly. Overall I am pleased with the the camera.
Pros: Easy to Use, Great Resolution, Great Zoom, Large Clear LCD, Small / Compact
Excerpt: I bought this camera because I carry one everywhere everyday. This means that the camera has to be small to make this requirement viable. I ideally wanted a camera with an aperture priority option because it gives me manual control with automatic shutter speed, making it quick to take an accurately exposed image and I can always tweak with +/- exposure.
