Summary: This camera lasted only 14 months. I was uploading pictures to my computer with the cable when it stopped working - the lens stuck and it would not come on. Previously I had used a usb stick that read the Olympus storage card. I don't know if using the cable caused it to stop working, but I would recommend using the usb reader to be safe. The body of the camera was still in perfect condition so I hated to throw it in the trash.
Summary: It was purchased as a replacement for the same camera that I lost. So glad to have it since I was familiar with how to use it. Makes great pictures and easy to carry. Glad I could replace it even if I couldn't recover the pictures I had lost. I do recommend this to others on a regular basis.
Summary: I've already owned one of these cameras, the one I ordered a few days ago was the replacement. The first one I had lasted through A LOT years of abuse yet it still took great pictures before it bit the dust. For a point and shoot, it's a very good camera. It has a decent amount of customization, can auto-focus pretty well, has good image quality, and is easy to use. So, if you can't afford an expensive camera, I would go with this one.
