Summary: I've only had this camera for two days. I'll write an update in a month or two. So far... PROS - cool effects - panorama works pretty good - flash is easy to work with - seems to take pretty good indoor pictures - zoom is obviously good (also if it is at max zoom... your obviously not going to get an Amazing picture.. pretty sure that is common sense though) - easy menu CONS - sequential shooting only works at 5mp.
Summary: There is no doubt that the camera takes good pictures, but I have taken two stars from it because for me it has two minus points, the main one being that it has no viewfinder, only a LCD screen. This is a real problem when you want to take pictures when the sun is high and there is too much clarity or, if like me, you don't like having people around watching what you're doing.
Summary: I just got my camera in the mail and so far i'm just a little impressed. The camera looks SOO much bigger and heavier in the pictures, but it's just a little tiny thing. So far the camera seems to be real slow and i worry about trying to take pictures on the fly. For example, if i want to take a picture of something immediately and moving fast good luck. There are so many choices for fast moving objects its alittle too much.
Over hyped and not my cup of Tea, not worth the effort

Summary: I just recieved my Camera today and I am not all pleased with it and here is why. A: You have to Charge the battery in the Camera, so if the battery dies, you have to shut down the Camera and then Charge it back up. B: The charging cord is very short, it limites where you can safely charge the Camera. C: The memory card slot is in the same space as the Battery, which means you have more chances to get dirt and dust in the Camera.
Summary: For a point and shoot camera, this one takes some getting used to. If I had it to do over again, I would probably buy a smaller camera. The best feature on it is the 36X zoom. That is AWESOME!! The camera is worth the purchase just for that. You can get shots no other camera can get with this one from a distance and that part is great. I would like the colors to be brighter for an HD Camera though. Having said that, the video it takes is also great.
Summary: Had the older model for around 3 years now so decided time for an upgrade to a longer zoom. Imagine my disappointment in finding things have taken a backwards step! The old model used AA batteries which can be bought even in the remotest of locations around the world - instead the new battery uses rechargeable battery and just to save themselves a couple of quid over customer service by not providing a true charger unit, instead opting the cheap and nasty option of...
Great lens, but not for those who want a step into high level photograpy.

Summary: I bought this camera just before I left for my honeymoon, dreaming to make proper night shots under stars etc. It has a great lens, great zoom and very handy photo modes, long battery duration. An overall great camera if you are looking for a compact camera. Having said that, it is, in my opinion, too expensive for a compact camera. But in the end, even though it looks like a bridge camera, it is a compact one, and I guess this is what Olympus tried to hide.
