Summary: overall, this is not a good product and you should not be putting your hard-earned cash into it.
Pros: Light weight and easy to carry., Good for bright light photography. Think hikes on a sunny day and beach.
Cons: Impossible to shoot any other kind of shot., Bird shots are highly inefficient since the sensor takes forever to shoot, by which time your birdie has flown., Low light shooting is impossible. Keep your camera switched off if you want to shoot in low light.
Summary: I've had this camera while. I've played with the panoramic feature which is cool and works ever so neat. I mainly use it for point and shoot pics, which this camera is overkill for, but it takes those so great.
I would recommend for getting those far away shots that you normally clear

Summary: I'm still getting used to the settings but overall is really liking that I can take closer pictures than they appear. I love photography so I'm always looking for better and better photo clarity for the money. So far this is a good camera and would recommend it.
Summary: This camera is a different bird , it has limited aperture and sutter settings but the ones that come Auto do the job I think . I just got it but I put through alot of test , It's a qaulity product and some settings get me the very truest color reproduction that I've ever seem . This camera is for a patient person , and good for people who like point and shoot cameras, set on Auto it gives some good pics , other settings limit or hender the zoom but the incadesent light...
Summary: This is the best camera I have owned by far. The 30x optical zoom is a bonus. What I like personally is the sharp pictures this camera captures when zooming in on a subject. You can buy a more expensive camera and you still wouldn't get all the bells and whistles that this camera has. For the money, this camera can't be best. I highly recommend this camera to anyone.
Excerpt: I have had my SP800UZ for about two years. I posted comments when I first got it. Was dissapointed then and still am. Admittedly it is chuck full of techo wonders but falls down in areas for actual use. lacking an eye level viewer is a big deficit in my opinion. The close up is not really much of a close up. Approaches macro but not quite. It will not focus at really close ranges.
