Summary: I bought this camera over a year ago for my Online chemistry class. GREAT camera WAY WAY overkill for my PROOF photos !! Made me feel guilty even, that it sits in the drawer SOOO much. Its great, but encumbered by some of its less than great software design and controls. I think about selling it, but KNOW i will never get this good of deal again, i paid about ONE THRID of what the used/reconditioned ones go for, or to put into other words A Ben FRANKLIN would buy 3-4 of...
Summary: The camera turned out to be the thing i needed to get back into Photo taking adventures. It took great pics of the eagles in my back yard!Overall it was worth the money i spent to replace a Canon i accidently destroyed when i dropped it.
The Olympus SP-600UZ is an excellent budget camera

Excerpt: I got a steal of a deal on this camera at Costco. I paid less for this one than I did the last point and shoot camera that I got. It has quite a bit of zoom for the price, which I love...especially for pictures of my baby. I would love to have a fancy SLR camera, but I'm not ready to make the investement, so this camera is an excellent choice for me! The zoom is fantastic and most of the pictures I have taken have been excellent.
Summary: very good quality pictures! it has been used for may months and so far so good :)I have had some cameras in the past but this is way better, I like the zoom and the only thing that I don't like about it is not handy :(
So far this Olympus camera has met my expectations and I am happy with it.

Summary: I bought this camera because I needed a new camera for my amateur photography activities. This Olympus product is very good quality for the money. It is a little heavier than I wanted, but the number of features and picture quality make up for that. My only complaint is the batteries (AA insulated) do not last very long and there is no plug in charger.
Cons: It takes batteries. I absolutely hate the fact that it takes batteries, I don't know about anybody else, but mine eats batteries alive. Hubby says get the rechargeable batteries, but it doesn't matter, my camera will go through 4 batteries a week.
Pros: Good quality photos. Easy to change options. The video quality is great. Sounds and video are good quality, you just have to stop the recording to zoom in or out and restart. I am impressed with the stabilization with full zoom and video.
Cons: No option to change shutter speed. It would be nice to have a setting where the shutter speed would be faster, even if you loose an option someplace else. Lag time from shot to shot can be frustrating unless your in the multishot mode.
Summary: I purchased this camera for use in the office and i love it, it takes great pictures, it has great features and the price is right, It's easy to use. The only complaint i have is the location of the SD card slot, i wish it were in a different location away from the batteries, every time you remove the sd card you have to fight with the batteries. This camera is a great little camera with intuitive and easy to use menu.
Pros: 1. Nice size view screen 2. fairly easy to flip through modes 3. HELP button with good feaures 4. has that SLR feel when shooting pictures - for those that don't like shooting pictures with a "deck of cards" styleof camera
Cons: 1. Video mode - no zoom with audio, only zoom without audio (that sucks) 2. Lens cap falls off easily - won't stay on when lens is extended (that sucks) - do not bang your lens! 3. picture quality ok - I expected better 4. Hard time downloading pics to
