The Olympus SP-590UZ is a 26x optical wide-angle zoom camera with 12 megapixel image sensors, Dual Image Stabilization, Face Detection, Ultra High-speed sequential shootin and a 2.7 inch LCD. The lens has a 26-676mm focal length with f2.8-5.0 aperture setting. The camera has HDTV connectivity via a HDMI™ cable as well as Wireless Flash connectivity. It has a 2.7 inch HyperCrystal™ II LCD display.

Features

The wide-angle lens on this camera combines aspherical lens elements and extra-low disperson (ED) lens elements. It has super-macro capabilities. The 12 megapixel sensor allows for large-format prints or cropping/enlarging a portion of an image. The camera features pre-capture scene modes like Multiple Exposure (allows users to take two separate photographs and overlay them to craft one unique image), Soft Background Focus (for blurring effect ie. background blurring) and Beauty Mode (shadows and smooth wrinkles or blemishes on subject’s face). Users can connect the SP-590UZ to an HDTV with an HDMI™ cable, which can be purchased separately at any consumer electronics store. The camera accepts xD-Picture Card media and microSD memory cards to capture images. The SP-590UZ offers the flexibility to use either xD-Picture Card or microSD memory cards. It also features Dual Image Stabilization combining Ultra High-Speed sequential shooting and Pre-Capture with TruePicTM III that enables users to capture the action before and after fully pressing the shutter button. Other features on this unit is full manual control, Face Detection, Wireless Flash Compatibility, a 2.7 inch HyperCrystal™ II LCD, Shadow Adjustment Technology, Perfect Shot Preview, Perfect Fix In-Camera Editing and 29 Shooting Modes.
