Summary: I like it because it has the features of a point and shoot as well as some of the advance features of an SLR. It's easy to use and the viewfinder can work well for left eye dominant as well as right eye dominant people. It includes a flash as well as a shoe for removable ones. It can be held with one hand, but I recommend two for steadier shots. It has the usual photo effects built in.
Summary: The camera takes very good pictures. It is packed with many features of an DSLR. Because, it has so many features that you have to go through layers of the menu to get to some of them, but this is typical for compact cameras. The camera is easy to hold and light weight.
Summary: This camera practically does everything for you, yet allows flexibility unseen in other brands. High-speed sequential shooting is un-surpassed. 10MP is still ample resolution to print a 16x20.
Summary: Awesome camera, small enough to take anywhere, yet large enough to use professionally. I really love the fact that its easy to use / operate / understand...actually, after I bought the 1st one, I bought another for back-up!
Excerpt: I truly like the Olympus SP-570 UZ digital camera, it's capable of doing so much, but yet very easy to handle. Also the 20x optical zoom and the 10 Megapixel resolution is great. All photos come out fantastic!
Summary: this is the perfect camera to take your photography hobby to the next level, with 10 mega pixels and 20 times zoom you can really do whatever you need, and it has other lenses you can add on to zoom out more, or add a polorizing filter, or colored lenses. the only thing i dont like is image stabilization is no good at the most extreme end of digital zoom, so a tripod and a remote shutter release switch is a must, even then if its a hot day the thermal rays will make your...
Summary: Olympus SP-570 UZ 10.0 Megapixel: Excellent high resolution digital camera, nice size for those people like me who used 35mm cameras, and like that size and feel -- and it has an easy control zoom like the earlier 35mm cameras. The camera I bought through Ebay was in outstanding condition, original with accessories in the original box, including strap, instructions, download cords, batteryy charger, batteries, etc. The smaller 2GB M+ card [available at Radio Shack, etc.
sp-570UZ - Excelent "bridge" camera with a hotshoe
20 March 2010
Summary: The good: Small, but weighty. Feels solidly built, and has nice ergonomics. Feels very comfortable in one's hand. Unlike the vast majority of "bridge" cameras these days, including almost all of the other Olympus SP series cameras, this one (570 only) has a hotshoe, allowing you to use a separate flash and (thus) also allowing you to BOUNCE the flash. (If you know ANYTHING about photographic lighting, you know that bounce flash is vastly superior to straight-on flash.
Summary: This camera is all I hoped it would be. It has a great feel. The grip is wonderful. The fact that it uses AA batteries is important to me. I use NI-MH rechargeables and keep a spare set in the camera bag. The menus are clear and concise. The long zoom is handy, though understandably not razor sharp, at maximum zoom. The picture quality is great and the many SCN modes are helpful.
Summary: When this camera first appeared on the horizon, it received just so-so reviews - due mostly to the focusing element. Since then Olympus has released a firmware update which addresses most of that problem. But I would like to address the high image quality that this camera is capable of achieving. And that is awesome!!! It shoots in RAW, and various JPG levels and I'm quite impressed with this little gem.
