Summary: I wanted a camera I could put in my pocket and one that was not as incredibly slow as the Nikon Coolpix I own. The SP350 filled the bill at a bargain price on auction. The pictures are tack sharp and beautiful although white balance is an issue. The downside is that the memory card is hard to find expensive. The camera did not include a cable which had to buy. Battery life also seems short.

Summary: This camera was first released in 2005 when it cost probably $250. I would buy it again, but not at the prices I am seeing it. Probably sold at these prices now because it is unavailable, like a classic camera? I shot outstanding photos with this little jewel which gives incredible color depth to the photos, had closeup capabilities worth the money it cost at the time it was manufactured new. Now.... Well, I would pay around $40-50 dollars for it.
Summary: Great Camera to be an older model...Takes great pictures and has many different features..Size and weight is average but its actually big compared to the newer models.I would recommend this camera to people if they are looking for an older model for good price that takes good pictures. If you have the money go ahead and get a newer model this camera is good but dont think I would choose over a newer model..
Excerpt: To the contrary of the other reveiw, I LOVE my Olympus SP-350. The price tag was high, but well worth the investment. The image quality is great, the camera features are great, totally happy with this purchase. To the other reveiwer, I hate to say that your time line simply doesn't make sense since this camera comes with a minimum of a one year warranty. I purchased one for myself and one for my mother as a Christmas gift a few years back.
Excerpt: The Olympus new SP-350 digital cameras is price at the very affordable deal of three hundred nad ninety nine dollars U.S. The Olympus SP-350, is a compacted camera with a two and half LCD display, VGA movie mode, and fully manual controls, AF-assist lamp. This camera use the traditional AA batteries and RAM format image support. The SP-350 has a built-in lens cover so there are no clumsy lens caps to fool around with, with me is a very big plus with this item. The Olympus...
Excerpt: I saved up for months and bought this camera August 2006. It worked well for a while and then started dying after 5-10 pictures, even with brand new batteries. Then Olympus sent a "firmware update" for a problem with battery life indicator. Basically the batteries were fine but camera could not judge the battery level. So after updating the camera it STOPPED working all together within 3 months of update.
Slowest camera EVER, but takes AMAZING macro photos!!!

Summary: This camera finally died on me after about 4 years of use, and I really did love it, despite the fact that it was the SLOWEST CAMERA EVER... but it took such nice macro photos I couldn't help but love it. The still shots were pretty decent too. I bought it at Costco for $200. I carried this camera EVERYWHERE, and it took quite a beating from me so the fact that it lasted 4 years is pretty amazing. I took thousands of photos with it.
Summary: I bought my camera about 2 years ago and LOVE it! the pictures are great, and macro pics are outstanding! If you can clearly see pollen on a bees legs you KNOW this camera is the real deal. I have taken it to the mountains, desert and sea shore and it is not a baby...it has taken some rough handling and just keeps on ticking. I would recommend this camera to anyone! hands down a winner. if there are any drawbacks, I knew them when In purchased the camera. 1.
