Summary: This is a good camera if you're interested in entering the mirrorless camera world. Certainly, however, there are better options around this price point at the time of this review. It lasted me two years and produced great images.
Summary: I would give this camera five starts if its recording time was more than a few minutes. I wouldn't repurchase because it doesn't really fit my needs, but the picture quality is really nice if you're just looking to take photos.
Summary: Takes great pictures, and works well, however would randomly show 'Card Error' and refuse to take pictures (fairly frequently). Also one unit failed around one year in (wouldn't autofocus), and the replacement failed after another year (completely inoperable), despite reasonably good care.
Summary: I bought this camera from Cameta. Around the 1 year mark (just out of warranty), it just stopped working. When I put the battery in, the screen automatically turns on (backlit) and doesn't display anything. I am unable to do anything (no buttons or settings work or even make any noise).
Summary: My camera just stopped working, out of the blue, after 6 months. Cameta says they extend the Olympus warranty to cover 1 year. This is not true. The Olympus warranty is worldwide but Cameta only will help you if you are in the us.
Summary: I had 2 SLRs and sold my low-end Nikon D40x, thinking I would get the same quality in a smaller package. It seems like a glorified point-and-shoot to me. I guess I will have to get used to it.
Summary: I am very impressed with the quality of the photos and the responsiveness of the camera. I have owned the Olympus e-510 and currently own the e-620. I love the compactness and the low light(with no flash) photo quality in comparison with the large D-SLR Olympus Cameras.
Summary: I've owned an e-pl2 for over a year now, and I've taken thousands of pics with it. First of all, the kit 14-42 lens is great. Very sharp and easy to use. The camera's scene and art modes take some time to appreciate, but are well worth it once you understand how to apply them.
