Great characteristics, fun, compelling picture taking capabilities, no VF!

Summary: This is the best walk around camera ever!!! I use it with a Manual Focus Minolta 50mm(eq 100mm), and it's just fantastic. Takes really good video. I play around with the pull focus on the lens and it's just good fun recording videos. IQ is pretty decent. I haven't had any problems with noise. I've seen a lot of complaints about the noise ISO performance on the E-PL1, but I haven't experienced any hold-backs. I shoot freely at 1250 at night.
Summary: Great little camera. I originally purchased the Olympus Pen E-PL1 to fit between my point and shoot Canon A1300 and my Canon EOS cameras. But I found the Olympus has become my main camera. I primarily use adapters and early Pentax Takumar M42 lenses for scenery and Macrophotography...where it does better than my overpriced Canon EOS equipment.
A wonderful camera at a great price from a great seller.

Summary: The camera is wonderful. It is compact, light, sturdy and takes really great pictures. I am just learning how to use it. I had two adapters, one for Canon EF lenses and one for screw type lessens in manual mode. They allow me to use lenses I have from an old film camera. The camera comes with a great photo-organizing program called IB which helps you organize photos, by date, event, and face. I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.
Excerpt: I bought this camera because I was cycling at the time and needed something almost pocketable, but with enough dynamic range for bright sunshine shots, and with the ability to control depth of field better than a cellphone. Also, I wanted to experiment with using old Minolta lenses on a digital body. Build quality and general ergonomics are very much like Canon A-series of compact cameras - meaning, they are nothing to write home about.
