Takes great pictures

Excerpt: I was looking for a camera that I could take both kayaking and hiking and this little thing fits that model. It is great that you do not need to worry about getting it wet or droping it on the trail. It takes great photos and the only complaint that I have is that when you push the button to take a picture you have wait about a second or two before it takes the picture. This is no big deal unless you are taking action shots. Overall I am very pleased with this camera.
Excerpt: I looooove this camera!! I bought it for Christmas for myself!!! I have used in everywhere you can possible think of!! I have taken it on vacations with me to the ocean and to camping trips all over the states. My kids have taken it in the water and so have i. I can't tell you how many times I have dropped it and it still turned on!!! It takes great underwater photos and still photos.
Excerpt: This so far is the great camera. Got it for Christmas and have used it 15 different times. It takes good quality photos and has alot of menu features for editing, etc. This camera is meant for someone who is out in the weather alot. it is supposed to take underwater photos and then be able to go into freezing temperatures. meant for all conditions. It does not come with any accessories but those can be found pretty cheap. It came with a small memory camera card.
Excerpt: I love this camera, it had lasted a brutal challenge of skiing in Colorado. In Colorado, it was fallen on, set in the snow and dropped numerous times without any problems. I love it and it was the best investment I could have made!
Excerpt: I got this camera because I'm a outdoor person, I spend alot of time climbing, swimming, and moutain biking. This is one tough camera, probably the only one that can with stand some beating. I have dropped couple of times, and took pictures while swimming. This supposely can withstand a drop of close to 7 feet, but I wouldn't try it just to see if it really can. Picture wise, it's not that great. The shutter speed is too slow for fast action scene.
Olympus Touch 8000 performs far beyond standard point and shoots

Excerpt: I bought this camera for an adventure trip hiking the Inca trail in Peru...At the time, I really didn't know how to use it, so most of my initial photographs were on "auto" setting. Despite the advantage of the spectacular surroundings, I was stunned to see super sharp, beautifully colored photographs..
I wouldn't use any other camera, only the Olympus-Tough-8000.

Excerpt: I have used many other cameras and not a one of them has stood up to the tough situations I have put them in. The Olympus Tough-8000 has stood up against my dropping it, getting it wet, using it constantly, etc. I love to use my camera, especially taking pictures of my kids in or outside. It goes everywhere with me and takes the awesomest pictures. They are always clear and precise. I haven't found another camera that I would rather use. I have a camera on my...
Excerpt: I loved this camera from the first moment I got it. Finally, a camera I didn't have to worry about breaking! I used it in rain with no worries, and joked that I could drop it off a bridge, have it hit rocks and railing on the way down, land in the water, and work perfectly well at the bottom of the river.
Excerpt: I want to start out by saying I started with the olympus 770 SW which is also a great camera.... I have had my Olympus tough 8000 now for several weeks and taken a million pictures with it so far it seems...the quality of picture is nice, the only downfall is I which they would make the zoom a little more powerful on these models. especially for underwater pictures. I also bought the underwater housing unit with this but I will do a seperate review for that. The...
Excerpt: i bouht this camera for my sister last year and she was extremely impressed. it was her first camera ever so she had a fun time taking pictures ranging from the grand canyon to our young cousins. she takes it everywhere but it is light and compact. the picture quality (i've seen) is also amazing...this is a good entry level camera.
