Pros: Depth of field seems to be better than any other digital camera I have. Exposure can easily be set, including movie mode. LCD can be made quite bright when viewing upcoming shots. tripod mount is nearly underneath the lens. Excellent macro.
Cons: Battery has to be removed to be charged. Battery, apparently has to be charged often. Focusing is slightly confusing. No high resolution movie mode, just 640x480.
Summary: The Olympus is a very good camera but when I bought in April there was not one in the stores to look at. I was looking for a camera that took pictures quickly not having a 5 second delay after you push the button before it actually took the picture. I tried a Sony in the store and it was very fast. I like Olympus and thought it would be just as fast but it is not. That is the main reason for buying after having two small children. It takes great pic's.
Summary: The cam was very easy to use . Takes very good pics , not amazing but very good none the less. Very light. Took alot of great pics on both my vacations. The video was pretty cool and good quality. On a bad note, as earlier reviewers mentioned the battery indicator does go from green full to red and empty. No in between indication.
Not bad after you purchase a very high memory card...

Summary: I got this camera because it was stylish and had great reviews. For the price it's great. You will def want to upgrade to the highest possible memory card. As you'd expect there are really huge differences in quality of pictures on different memory settings. After seeing the higher settings you'll feel all the lower settings are sub-par; and in reality to get better pics, you'd need to go with a more expensive camera.
Summary: The first few times I used my new camera, I had not read the instructions. It is vital to read them because there are a lot of specific settings so that you get good photos in different situations. I think the photos look great, just read the manual before you use it!
Summary: Purchased this camera as a gift for my mother and she fell in loved with her camera, she loves how easy to use it is. as well as all the functions, her favorite feature is when the camera detects teeth it takes a pictures. I used the camera my self and looking to purchase an Olympus my self.
Summary: Thought it was time to upgrade from my Olympus Camedia 4000. The 4000 is a great camera, but wanted the stabilization feature of a new camera, if nothing else. Also wanted higher MPs and smaller size. Also figured I would use it more if it wasn't so bulky. Will one day get a DSLR to replace my 35mm SLR for really good photography, so wanted a point and shoot automatic camera for right now.
