Summary: I have been taking pictures using Olympus cameras since the '60s, on their half frame 35mm (72 exposures) automatic. I also admire their cameras to get great pictures. The later Stylus film cameras were just as good with more features packed into small packages, and best of all, they were never expensive to own. C-50 took great pictures too. My last camera was a SP-320 7-megapixel with enter level video, and the pictures were clear and sharp in all conditions.
Summary: So I got this camera for Europe thinking it would be a great compact camera that wasn't too expensive. I have a decent larger camera that would take up a lot of space, but I thought I would feel bad if something happened to it. When the camera arrived, I tested it right away and was extremely disappointed.
Summary: The camera is great regarding pictures but battery life is really bad, I really do not recommend to buy this item. I know is cheap but the battery life only works for an hour or two if you're lucky I have tried with several kind of batteries and is the same. The quality of the images is acceptable, the zoom is good for the price I paid. It was a gift for my cousin.
Summary: The camera itself is wonderful, many different picture options... it works great. Except when it comes to batteries. I'm a mom of 3 boys so pictures are naturally more frequent. I've owned this camera for 3 days now and have had to change the batteries atleast twice a day. I bought rechargeable batteries and it seems to last even shorter, a whole 30 minutes.
Summary: I've been very impressed with the video functions and video quality of this camera, but not as impressed with the photo functions - actually, I only have one issue with it. You can't adjust the shutter speed. You can adjust the "exposure" level, which effects the shutter speed, but you can only adjust the exposure between stops -2 and +2. I suspect this is the main reason people have trouble with getting too many blurry pictures with this camera.
Summary: Works out of the box. However if you want to do anything else you have to reset just about every time. Too much work. For a 14 mega pixel, picture not that clear. Trading for a Nikon or Samsung.
