Summary: This `Olympus X-42' is a small attractive camera and incredible value for money. To find 12 mega pixels, 16 face recognition, 5X zoom and a 2.7 screen is impressive stuff, but when you factor in the low price it ends up being nothing short of outstanding. This takes AA batteries and whilst this makes it slightly thicker than other cameras with internal rechargeable batteries, I find it fits better in the hand this way; companies can make things so small they aren't...
Summary: seems good quality only annoying thing is that the xD cards are expensive beware and know what they are i suggest the micro adapter much cheaper solution otherwise not bad for $23(mine was pink but the price out does the color)
Summary: There have been some poor reviews on this camera, but for the price I paid (69.99), it's not a bad camera. Picture quality is decent, not as good in the dark, using the zoom at 5x without bright lighting means blurry pics. This camera is tough. I accidentally dropped it from an 80 foot high parking structure onto rocks in Vegas and I went to get it, hoping that the batteries and memory card could be salvaged. To my surprise the camera turned on and worked perfectly.
Summary: Wow people are bash'n this camera?? I think it's great for the money, I've had mine around 3 years and I still have no complaints a on line service via Olympus lets me edit all the pics and I have no regrets on this purchase!
Summary: I've owned this camera for quite some time now and I am very satisfied with it. It is very easy to use and takes very good pictures for a relatively inexpensive camera. The quality of the construction is what you would expect from Olympus. Very good value for the money.
Summary: This thing works great. I am happy with it, but the prices are coming down alot on Camera's everywhere. I just saw a 10 megapixel video camera that also can shoot single shots for $35 the other day. However, this in an Olympus. That says it. If you aren't ready to set the exposure, shutter, and so on - do not buy this camera. The others say it's pretty much point and shoot, then another says it gives poor quality.
Summary: This item's the easiest camera u will find in the 12 mp range and it does have too many features for its small price. You will get great shots if u practically know how to "click a button". Good for starters, kids and adults alike. Just buy this if you don't want to spend too much and if u want a good quality camera that's easy to click.
