I enjoy my FE 4000
10 April 2012
Summary: Olympus FE 4000 12.0 MP is a good point and shoot digital camera. It has a nice coating on the lens which produces a good contrast as seen on the pictures. It has a shutter speed of 1/2000 to a slow 4 sec, magic filters such as fish eye, lighter skin tone, pinhole, and pop art all for a new level of creativity. One good little camera that`s packed. I enjoy using mine.
Summary: This camera is great for price, and quality. It's VERY lightweight, slender and portable. The picture quality is great, don't let those 1-2 star reviews discourage you (I've tested this camera in various settings). This is a camera designed basic point-and-shoot, not something for professional work of course. I've used an Olympus Stylus 710 in the past, loved it and decided to get my own Olympus camera.
Summary: This camera is pretty amazing to say the least. It does take a little time to learn all of the wonderful features on it. I was a bit hesitate to purchase it because it had mixed reviews. But If you need a camera, get this one. It really is worth every penny. I can take motion shots. Pictures during night scenes, daylight, the snow, and even fireworks.
Excerpt: Not too heavy and more importantly, HARDY enough to withstand a backpacking trip through Laos and Thailand, unlike some cameras which will inevitably decide to malfunction due to humidity/dirt issues. Lastly, this is a note to those with hands that shake in line with the Richter scale — I have awful shaky hands as well, and the Stabiliser mode on this camera helps with that a lot!
Summary: This is my second FE-4000; I broke my first one. After reading all the negative reviews, I feel that this camera has gotten a bum rap! It has most of the features of much more expensive models and is a trememdous bargain. As for it's performance all you have to do is learn how to make the proper settings and have the patience to wait for the Auto-focus target box to turn green before shooting.
Summary: This is a top of the line camera for a very good price. It has features that more expensive cameras have, is easy to use, and produces excellent quality photos. I would highly recommend it for any noncommercial application.
